Holiday Home - Cottage in Kalpetta - Wayanad, India

We were a group of 11 and visited Wayanad in the second week of December. While surfing for suitable accommodation for a night, I came across Holiday Home cottage near Kalpetta. What attracted me the most was the pricing. An apartment costs Rs 2000 and if you have a big group of ten people,you need not look beyond this option. Coming to the location,it is located right next to the NH 212, just 5 kms before Kalpetta. There is a signboard too in a place called Eddappetty which makes it easy to locate the place. Most of the tourist attractions are quite near to this place since it is centrally located,which is another plus point. The apartment has a verandah,a hall, two rooms, a kitchen, a back verandah, an attached bathroom and one general bathroom. The rooms and the hall are very spacious and neat. There is a cable television too which is a nice add on. The bathrooms are well maintained and hot water is available. There is ample parking space. You can also lit a fire in the front of the building and have a good time.The only problem is food and if you can manage it,this place must be right on top of your list. What made our stay memorable was the genial nature of the owners Thomas and Salin. Before reserving the apartment, I called Mr Salin a number of times enquiring about various things and he was always patient,cordial and affable. On reaching the cottage, it was Mr Thomas who handled everything and he is a genuinely good host. He ensured that our group was made comfortable and the arrangements were very satisfactory. The duo's friendly nature,hospitality and co-operation surely makes it a worthwhile stay. So,if you are planning a trip to Wayanad, Holiday Home Cottages must be on your list.Very affordable tariff,cleanliness, spacious rooms, good location and above all great hospitality gets my thumbs up! Recommended.

Good if you are looking for a cheap place. Nothing exciting to stay. But no problem if you are ok with basic amenities

The rooms were in very bad condition. Will never visit here
