Cheapest stay for government employees but worst rooms and staff... A food canteen on payment basis is also available...food quality is good compared with other amenities. Rooms are full of dampness, seepage of water, foul odour specially corridors of complete holiday home are designed by some illiterate architect...water logging in corridors is the worst thing.
One of the best options to stay in Kanyakumari if you are a central Government employee. It is located at a walking distance from the boating point of Vivekananda Memorial and Kanyakumari temple. It is in front of the light house and IMD field center. The original building is a bit old but has been renovated recently. Food in the mess is good and rates are reasonable. Staff is friendly and tries to help in all the possible ways. It is well connected with the local transport and easier to locate.

Good place to stay, nicely maintained with plants and saplings around, ample parking space. Food is humble and homely. The place is nearer to tourist attractions. It's situated just in front of Kanya kumari Met Office. Railway station is with in 2 km.
Ambiance is good. Food supplied was worst. I had veg meals. All the curries were served cold. Taste os sambar snd rasam was worst. Chutney was rotten....when informed the manager about this...he said because of hot summer ...it became rotten. Even after requesting...hot water was not served. First and last visit. Never recommend to anyone.
Rooms are just okay, but the highlight is its location, everything you want to see in Kanyakumari is very close to the guest house. Food is also good.
Really worth staying in such a low cost. Located just near the light house and having a good access to roads connecting to bus stops, Triveni sangam , and ferry ticket counter for Vivekananda memorial. I think everything you need to see in Kanyakumari is just within your walking range. You don't need to look for any auto or bus services. Just get out from your room and you will find everything you are looking for. I will advise you to book holiday home in Kanyakumari at least two months ago. Otherwise there is a less chance you will find any availability there.
We stayed there for two days. 1st day they have given one room which is an AC room in that room AC is not working, room also not that much clean. In the bathroom the heater is not working and the flash is also not working properly. I was very disappointed about this room. 2nd day they have given another Non AC room in this everything is working good. Please check twice before giving rooms to customers.
