HOG Varanasi Hostel - Backpacker Hostel in Varanasi - Varanasi, India

Good, cheap hostel and conveniently located. It's a clean place with great facilities inside. There's also several common space to meet people. Staff is very helpful and they organize daily some tours in Varanasi (100rs for 3h). You got curtains on your bed and your own power plug, light and fan. I would definitely recommend this place!

It was nice a experience. They have an open kitchen. Operate it, cook and clean everything on your own. It's quite reasonable to stay here. I booked dormatory with four beds, which was a little suffocating. The toilet seat had no leg room. Other rooms are better. The guys at the reception are helpful.

I really enjoyed my time at HOG Hostel and ended up staying there for 2 weeks. 5+ stars for the staff : they are very nice, helpful and friendly. Feeling like a family. (+) : Free breakfast in the morning. Good breakfast with breads, eggs, cornflakes... (+) : Very comfortable beds and room with AC. Beds with curtains for privacy. (+) : Very nice common areas inside and outside (roof top). Thanks HOG!

Pros: great location - walking distance to everything, some good staff, lovely hot shower Cons: Delayed check in, windowless room with peeling walls, no duvet cover on duvet, no space to unpack items, wet (and therefore not clean) mat outside bathroom, very noisy at night (other guests playing loud music). Service was poor when we asked about changing rooms. Didn't really want to spend any time there and was glad we were only there for 2 nights.

J'ai retrouve une blatte morte sous le matelas..... La proprete des linge reste serieusement a desiree.... En revanche, le staff est top, agreable et serieux. Pour le prix, vous avez une chambre tres sommaire et sale. De plus le petit dejeuner n'est pas du tout copieux.

The best hostel ever, the Breakfast is amazing, open toilet are clean & neat, one of the staff(Shubam)is very very friendly the others don't talk that much (maybe because I don't speak Hindi). All and all the best of best pod around Varanasi. I will definitely recommend to all the solo travellers. Please Note: Power Cuts are very frequent and last very long..

Beautiful modern hostel with lovely staff members who is very helpful and welcoming with everything. The hotel is brand new and very very clean, I loved how they are cleaver and very practical with things in the hostel such as USB plugs everywhere ,in the share rooms you still have so much privacy and yummy breakfast with great coffee:) Very good wifi connection, optional outside showers on the roof and library in commune room. We had great and lovely time here in Hog Varanasi hostel.

Better find another hostel Dont trust staffs there.They are so lazy and unreliable. They said ok ok fix problem later and they didn't fix it. Top floor shower and toilet was stopped when I was taking shower at night. And my capsule room was so dirty and no pillow. I was uncomfortable during staying there. Therefore night was so noisy because people played music louder. It's cheap price but many problems and u comfortable. Better find another hostel.
