Hippie hostel Anjuna - Lodging in Anjuna - North Goa, India

Irrespective of booking a bed in Hippies 2 months in advance and received repeated confirmation over mail from Hippies, I was sure that my booking exists. Even 1 day before leaving for Goa, I again reminded them. They said OK. Upon reaching, I found property is closed due to some reasons for 15 days. I asked them about booking, the caretaker was very rude and told me to GO and cancel from your side. I asked, I came all the way from the Delhi and have to undergo the stress of again finding room (now the prices will rise in last moment). The caretaker did not bother to answer. He just said, cancel, and go. Although the opposite property was kind enough to give me a Bed on the spot in slightly high price but still very reasonable. Kudos to them. Hippies hostel has a good name in North goa...But I was highly disappointed by their attitude. I have to check my statement whether the amount was deducted or not. This kind of attitude is pathetic. As a tourist I had to undergo stress and tension to find another accommodation with luggage. Things I disliked - - No Accountability - No clear answer. - Rude behaviour. - Pathetic!!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! The worst ever room I've been in Goa so far! No proper hygiene, the room are like an oven the service person and the owner have no manners at all, not a place to chill, stay or trip

Great place, great people! Always affordable, clean, and comfortable. It's a great place to relax with a beer and a book or easy access to the beach and all Anjuna Beach offers!

I highly recommend don't go to this place the owner has don't have any manners to talk to coustomers. Worst place to live. We just checked in thier and within an hour we have to checked out from this place.The place is very shaddy, no hygiene. Washroom are dirty and broken. Bedsheets are like they never change it. Also i might add that he showed a stick and said its kept only for malayalees ..then i understood how strong kerala people are that useless owner maddy myran is scared of kerala people . To all Kerala boys dont scare that. owner Maddy -mandan by staying there anymore ..... #zeroratings. #dont_play_with_mallus

Absolutely love the location, the vibe, and the host, Maddy. He is very welcoming, understanding and great to talk to. I got the best recommendations for local food, parties and even a good deal on renting a bike. Would definitely recommend you to stay here if you want to party / work-cation in Goa.

Worst experience, rooms ate like a soap box,not evan better surroundings,not even a door lock and no privacy.

Maddy gives your own space and freedom, and also provides you with the best places to visit to have a good time in goa. Definitely visit again :)

the vibe was unmatched. the owner maddy took good care of all costumers, cooked food and provided a real feeling of home. Great stat overall
