Somewhat good as arts college You can't enjoy so much when compared to other arts college If you want your children to go to a decent arts college and nearby ones this college is good Other than its a medium size college

Good silent railway station but Hindu college students which is near the college will occupy the full station during few hours which is annoying. This station has no toilet and foot over bridge is incomplete. there is saibaba temple near tthe station. if train is delayed you can switch to road transport adjacent to the station(auto or bus or taxi). not safe for women during late hours or in untime.railway police will not be all the time. no cctv camera in the station.

Super facilities are improving now just like lift,fly over bridge for Hindu college students.But public disturbing by leaving the two wheelers at entrance.The Railway Department without notice and to be punishable.

This college has both private and government sponsored courses. Morning batches are government and afternoon batches are private. Opposite to Hindu college station. Easily reachable from avadi.

The platform isn't much bigger to accommodate passengers at peak time. This is due to a college ( Hindu College ) located right opposite the train station. So the station gets crowded especially during 11am - 2pm. The ticket counter isn't much bigger as well and with 1 person it's really hard to provide tickets for all the incoming passenger count. And if it rains the matter gets worse since there's no proper roof you might end up getting wet and also your ticket :)

Hindu College railway station, Chennai is one of the railway station of the Chennai Central-Arakkonam section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. Located about 24 km from Chennai Central railway station, the station serves the neighbourhoods of Pattabiram a suburb of Chennai. It has an elevation of 28 m above sea level. The lines at the station were electrified on 29 November 1979, with the electrification of the Chennai Central-Tiruvallur section. Everyday, about 11,000 commuters use the station, including close to 4,000 students, 5,000 officegoers and 2,000 other commuters. Commuters cross the railway tracks from the Hindu College side to reach the suburban platform in the station as there is no foot overbridge. However, in 2005, a foot overbridge was sanctioned and the bridge was constructed in 2008. However, the overbridge was planned in such a way that it will connect only the two suburban platforms leaving out the mainline track, forcing the commuters to cross the railway track.
