Hindaun Gate - Historical place in Karauli - Karauli, India

Hindaun gate is main entrance gate to the old fort of KARAULI enclosed with High walls of red sandstone with six6Big Gates and 12 Small Gates (locally called as khirkhi). These enclosed walls were built in 17th century with the help of Naga sadhus in the Era of King- Maharaja Shri Gopal Singh Ji of karauli. He one of the greatest King of Jadaun Dynasty of Rajputs clan .He expanded the boundaries of kingdom of KARAULI .He was one of great warrior, King, devotee of Bhagwan Shree Krishna (shree Radha Madanmohan Ji). The City of KARAULI was established in 13th century by Maharaja Shri Arjun pal Dev of jadaun Dynasty (ancient Yadu Dynasty Lineage of lord shree Krishna) .He established control on their Ancestral land by killing Mian makkan Muslim general of Mandrayal fort near Karauli. His descendants ruled this land by sacrificing their lives to safeguard their motherland from muslim foreign invaders. Till independence of India from British, this holy city of KARAULI was under the control of Rajputs of Jadaun Dynasty (ancient Yadu Dynasty Lineage of lord shree krishna). After independence the kingdom of KARAULI joined republic of India.
