Amazing. The teaching and facilities are one of the best in India. A little unhappy with their food arrangements. No way to buy anything out as there isn't a shop close by. Besides that all is well

Hi all, With this review i would like to share my experiences and the pros and cons of this institute . My review only applicable for BST COURSES not for any other course. I had studied here in the year 2012 but not sure and again studied here at 2023 for my passenger vessel joining. I had did PST,PSSR,EFA,FPFF all this 4 courses for inr 14400 at october 2023 batch. COURSE BOOKING : The courses need to be booked only through online and no direct booking allowed even if you are directly walk in to the institute they will provide a desktop to complete your info. All the information of your INSos number will be uploaded in to your profile with photo which makes your attendance process by the dg shipping. so your attendance will be monitored by DG on daily basis. But to book any additional course other than BST our friends found some difficulties on dates and venues. so the seafarers couldn't plan about the days often changing their dates and ,we sense some volatality to proceed the further on courses like PSF, STSDSD this need to be streamlined by the management HIMT. E- LEARNING: As per the new dg regulations the e- learning on all the stcw and other courses has made mandatory means a person should study about the topics by individually with provided time frame of the dg shipping that varies for each courses like 8 hours to 9 hours of e learning everyone should complete to avail the certificates and also there will be an assessment test by the dg after completing the each module candidate should score 15 out of 30 to pass but you can do multiple attempts to get the desired scores. For E -learning no support or guidance is given by the himt institute for my batch. Requesting the management to give a brief about all this during the first day of class itself because i got assisted only by my classmates not by the himt staffs . This need to be taken care and the same i have registered as my feedback with himt principal before the exit exam. FACULTY TEAM : All the faculities are so intellectual and seasoned folks with high sagacity. To mention by name Mr. Metha, Mr. Krishna murthy, specially Mr. venka srinivas and many more ( Countn't remember the names ) saw the dedication in teaching. FOOD AT THE CANTEEN : Daily 2 meals ( breakfast and lunch ) and 1 tea or coffee with snacks are provided along with the fees cost. So no need to pay for the food and refreshments. The food was decent and fulfilling the various palate as per my experience . Unlike the food which is served at the training campus at kalpakkam. The management should provide some more glasses for drinking water . it is very less . However you can get your own water bottle and fill it up. FIRE FIGHTING AND PST PRACTICALS : Both this practicals will take place at kalpakkam which is arount 50 km distance from the tidel park campus. For that need to report at the tidel park campus at 6 am however many chances for delay on timings. Need to carry a bag with towel , inners before getting in to the practical session students need to pay inr 198 for the boiler suits and safety shoes that too paid by the himt website however staff members at himt will tell you about this either you need to ask or your friends will also assist on this. Well, the food at the kalpakkam campus was so horrible for both the breakfast and lunch better get you own bread packets or be in starving. EXIT EXAMS: There will be an exit exam at the last day of the course where you should score 15 out of 30 to complete the course and get the certificates. If someone fail on the course they will get an opportunity to try once again with the exam fees of 350 rs ( but i am not sure about the re exam fees amount ) Hope maximum only 2 attempts are allowed. Please log in to the stcw mcq questions in the google . you will get a practice test and question bank to get to know about your test questions . I request everyone to go through with that to face the exam confidently. Over all HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE is a fine place to do this modular courses. ALL THE BEST TO EVERYONE.

Its a very good institute for all maritime courses. High Quality coaching and well experienced knowledgeable faculty. Food is tasty specially rassam.It will b better if they provide accommodation for those coming from other states.Thank u.

Good Institute with wide range of courses by experienced faculties who have very good way of teaching. The food was also good and hygienic. The simulator is also good. Understanding staff and faculties.

A very good institute for Marine training from preschool to different phases of competency examination to Stcw courses and modular courses are carried out professionally and meticulously to the highest standards by very dedicated staff.

I've done courses here in past in 2015 and decided to do it again in 2020 though its too far from my hometown. The facilities and adaptability they have with the latest requirements is awesome. Even in pandemic they put in all efforts so to get the courses done and issue certificate before any other institutions, which itself proves their dedication towards education.
