Worst hotel in Darjeeling. Period. The rooms are tiny. Bathrooms tinier. Water leaks in bathroom. Now let me tell you something they won't tell in the time of booking. The hotel is far from the mall, and beside a steep road. They will tell you that scooter is available for mall-drop, but actually nothing is there. It won't hurt much while going to the hotel from the mall, as that road is downhill. But you can't go to the mall whenever you like. Going to the mall from the hotel takes at least 30 minutes if you're without any luggage. With luggage, it can take over 45 minutes. It is very tiring. The behaviour of the staff is very rude. We were some friends who met after a long time. We were singing songs in the night. The boy came and threatened us. He was saying that he is the nephew of some local party leader, and we have to obey his orders. We could not meet the owner throughout the 2 days, from the night we reached there to the next day, when we left. Probably he also hates to stay there. Don't stay in this hell in the name of a hotel.

1. Rooms : Rooms are small in size but neat & clean with attached washroom with 24X7 running water & geyser. 2. Open space : There is a very small open space outside the rooms with a beautiful view of mountains & full Kanchenjungha range in clear sky. 3. Service : We stayed there for 3 days. Service was ok. TV not in working condition. 4. Food : The most important part is food. We informed her(owner) that we prefer milk tea, but everyday she served us liquor tea. Food quantity was not adequate for us at all. Even she didn't ask us for a single time if we require anything (some extra quantity of food) or not. 5. Location : If you want only beautiful view of mountains and sunrise then you may go for it. But the place is 400 meter from mall (downhill). And the inclination is 30deg- 45deg. If you are traveling with a child or any aged person, this place is not for you. My age is 33 & I faced a lot of problem while reaching the mall. Overall this place was not value for money for us.

If you want home atmosphere at Darjeeling with caring host, peaceful stay and delicious food, this place is for you. Mr. and Mrs. Chetri are nice persons who always care for their guests. I stayed at their homestay from 18.05.23 to 22.05. 23 with my wife and 5 years old son. I selected their homestay, after reviewing in Google and found sameexperiences as mentioned by the other guests. They have only 2 nice rooms for the guests with a corridor and beautiful lawn.The house is full of various flowers and orchids, birds are flying often.Our room was very clean, comfortable and hygienic. We found workable high speed WiFi, healpful for office work. My son doesn't prefer outside food, but we did not face any problem here. He just loved each of his meals, prepared by Chetri family.Thanks to didi for her delicious cooking, she prepared the food as we requested her. We all enjoyed, we may visit again for the food only. It was our one of the best experiences for the homestays.

I stayed here last week with my husband and son. The view from balcony and Mrs.Chetri's homemade food r just excellent. U don't have to worry about the complimentary breakfast and dinner. The food they spontaneously served was certainly up to the mark, hygienic and safe. I must appreciate their hospitality.

I visited this homestay with my friends. The view from the balcony is so pleasing and the food was properly home-made. Rooms were clean but bit small for more than two people. We enjoyed a lot there and I would definitely recommend this homestay to my nearest ones. I really like the politeness of both Mr. and Mrs. Chettri. They made us feel like home

Had a great feeling staying at this homestay . Mr. And Mrs. Chetri are so good in taking care of guests. I really liked the place specially for 3 things 1. One of the Nearest homestay to the mall 2. Breakfast and dinner included 3. The view from the balcony I would like to recommend this homestay to all my relatives or friends. Overall had a great experience here .

With one visit only this Homestay has become one of my favorite places in Darjeeling. The location is pretty near to the Mall. The rooms are very nice, very very clean. The view from this place is absolutely fantastic, from a small cozy balcony and a spacious terrace. The hosts Gayatri and Subash are really amazing people and will make every effort to make your stay, a special one. The food is nice and homely. The best and the most important thing about this place is that inspite of being pretty close to mall, this place is like miles about from the touristy noise and din of Darjeeling and is absolutely peaceful. Will definitely stay here only on our next trips to Darjeeling. Would definitely also recommend it to fellow travelers.

Himalyan Inn Homestay - A true sample of excellent hospitality We three friends booked this place for our Darj trip during June 2019. This place has two rooms with attached bath and a cozy balcony over looking the valley, perfect place while you sip your favorite darj tea or having breakfast. 7 to 10 mins walk from darj mall going downhill, from homestay towards mall walking uphill elderly ppl may find it difficult. The homestay is very cozy & clean and the attached bath is fully equipped. The homestay owner Mr.Subhas and his wife is very helpful. We had breakfast every morning (complimentary) every night we had diner at homestay and I must say the food was great (I mean it). Mr. Subhas also made barbq for us (complimentary), that was really great. One of the most co-operative couples I came across my life. Overall experience was awesome.I'll recommend this homestay to every couple , families and friends group. You wont regret, just be there, without doubt one of the best homestay in DARJ.
