The place where Hill View Resort is located is awesome. Except other than the approach road, which is a kachcha road, the location is pretty good with nature surrounding you. Hills, pond, trees and greenery, all in one place. Food is not very good, but I guess if you order desi food like pork, duck or desi chicken, it would be good, because I saw people enjoying those dishes adjacent to where we sat for lunch. But I am a vegetarian, so not too many options plus, the food could have been better. Service is somewhat okay, and since it was raining, f&b guys were running post to pillar, and getting drenched, so cannot blame it all on the people who were pressed to service. Another thing, you should carry your own booze.

Good place to hang out over drinks... you are allowed to carry your own booze... Food is okay, but a bit overpriced.

I had a beautiful experience of hosting my engagement ceremony at the Hill view Holiday home last December. It is a quaint resort, with a village like charm to it (which personally I favor over hotels and urban establishments). They have a huge garden and a pond full of local fishes. To my amazement, it was an animal friendly place as well. The owner and staff were very polite, and accommodating even to our last minute requests. We were a party of 18 and the only issue we faced was with water in the morning. The storage tank is too small and since we were on the clock, there was a rush on the morning of the event. Otherwise, we had a lovely time there. Would recommend visiting for a day outing and picnics too.

A good place to hangout with friends. The food is great even if the prices are on the higher side. Vegetarian options are costly as compared to other resorts and dhabas. Overall, a good experience!!!

I had a great time there. Service was really good and we were served fresh ethnic food. Rooms were good too and reasonably priced. Location and ambience is amazing. I like their eco friendly concept.

My husband, cousins and I had a wonderful New Year's Eve there. We often visit this place for friends and family gatherings, but we stayed the night for the first time and it was splendid. From the ambience, the live music to the delicious starters and ample amount of dinner (the food platter had so much food we couldn't finish it all! I hoped it went to the very decent dog they have there :*), everything contributed to us having a very memorable 31st. Thanks to the host, Abhilekh and his very dedicated staff for such professionalism and hospitality. Visit you soon!

Beautiful location, rain damnped the spirit a little. But the hospitality of Mr. Jyotish Kalita was great. Food was great especially the sesame pork. Thanks.

Loved the place actually, a quite place near Guwahati city just felt amazing. The owner's hospitality and extend of trying to make our stay comfortable and also going out of his way to all my demands just made the experience that much better. I'd like to see more development happening especially in the rooms. But my oh my, the place gives out such a close to nature atmosphere. Will make sure to stop over again when visiting Guwahati.
