Hill Spice Restaurant - Continental restaurant in Munnar, Pallivasal - Idukki, India

I believe this is the best meal we had in our trip in Kerala ! We ordered "a la carte" menu : chicken byriani, Hyderabad style eggplants and vegetables parottas were truly amazing ! Not to mention the super friendly staff or the stunning view.

Lovely place to have lunch. Food was amazing. 1. Sweet corn chicken soup - Good 2. Manchow Soup - Good 3. Spicy Chicken - Very good 4. Mutton Pepper Fry - Too much pepper 5. Pasta - Taste was good but sauce was a bit watery 6. Bagara Baigan - Ordered based on previous review. Tasted under cooked. 7. Wheat Porotta - Tasted like the ready to eat ones 8. Chuta Chicken Biryani - Worth trying Overall it's a good experience and ambiance. There is also a play area with Foosball and Carrom.

Hospitality Review: Unmet Expectations Following a lengthy 5-hour drive from Kodaikanal, we arrived at this establishment at 3:30pm, guided by Google Maps and positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience did not match our anticipation. Upon our arrival, we informed the management that we were there solely to dine at their restaurant. This seemed to shift their demeanor, leading to a less welcoming attitude. They asked us to wait outside, only to inform us later that they could serve just tea and coffee, not the meal we were looking forward to. Suggestions for Improvement: 1. Google Maps Listing Clarity: If the restaurant is exclusive to guests staying on the property, this should be clearly indicated on their Google Maps listing. This would prevent any misunderstandings for those just looking to dine. 2. Reservation Policy Transparency: Should the restaurant operate on a reservation-only basis, it's crucial that this information is prominently displayed in their online listing. 3. Accurate Kitchen Hours: The operational hours of the kitchen should be precisely communicated to avoid inconvenience to guests. The journey to this location in Munnar is not easy drive. In light of this, accurate and clear information is essential for those making the effort to visit. Our experience underlines the need for improved communication and hospitality, particularly in remote establishments.

Its not very often that you find everything good with a restaurant. Hill spice Munnar will surprise you with its location, service and food. Its a little away from the main town but worth the drive. The staff is super friendly, ambience excellent and food tasty. Definately something you should check out if you are in Munnar.

Hill Spice, located inside The Tall Trees Resort, is a stylish glass-roofed restaurant with an extensive choice of dishes. The food is exquisite, and the customer service is excellent. One of the must-tries is their 'Chutta Kozhi Biriyani' which is a brilliant substitute to normal biriyanis you get elsewhere. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a lot of selections; you'll simply love it! The ambience is extraordinary which is like having food in the forest where you hear birds twittering, leaves murmuring and the winds coddling you. Do not forget to grab a table at the balcony!

We stayed in tall tree resort for 2 days.And the breakfast is complementary here. Really the food is awesome. Service also really good.They served food with smily face.And the atmosphere was really very good. It will be very amazing during nights,like eating food in candle lights.

Awesome place, awesome food.... soo many varieties in food. Specially desert soo yummy n also a big play area for kids outside resturant.
