HighPoint Homestay, Thirthahalli, Shimoga - Home Stay in Thirthahalli - Shimoga district, India

My husband Biswajit and I are on a road trip from Gurgaon to Karnataka... ( We have not returned to Gurgaon yet, and we wish we could continue for ever). Tirthanhalli was supposed to be a go in-between stay. However, because of Gautam and Bindu ( owners) of this homestay, Tirthanhalli turned out to be a memorable place for us that came alive because of the hospitality offered. The town at first glance was nondescript ( and so were the other hotels) till we understood the historical and spiritual significance....please read up on it...( The Shiva temple established by Parashuram on the banks of river Tunga amongst many ancient temples)...Tirthanhalli is some 2 hours from Kudli, the Sangam of Tunga and Bhandra. Adi Shankara Charya sat here and meditated on the banks. The history of this place is mine boggling. None of this we could have experienced in the fullest had we not found this homestay. We had a beautiful spacious room, clean and aesthetically appealing. The home that belongs to Gautam and Bindu is a heritage home, the inner courtyard is nothing short of blissful while the veranda upstairs is divine with a swing where you can spend your time relaxing. Parking is not an issue, it's safe and convenient. Even though the home is very central it's in one of the quiet alleys. As regarding the breakfast that Bindu cooks and serves, it has been one of the finest we have experienced in our trip. Gautam, we found to be one of the finest gentleman to have come across. Both Biswajit and I hope that we have found a friend in Bindu and Gautam... Thankyou for your hospitality.

We had a serene experience at "HighPoint Homestay ". The accommodation was clean, comfortable and cozy. The actual high point was the interactions we had with Gautam and Bindu; sharing warm stories and tasting delicious homemade food. We arrived as guests and left as friends. If it's Thirthahalli, it's always HighPoint for us. Thank you Gautam & Bindu.

The property can be easily located. The house is beautiful and the host is friendly and helpful. There is space for car parking inside the compound. The room was clean and big, the beds were comfortable and there are chairs kept on the balcony where you can relax. Enjoyed my stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at Highpoint homestay Thirthahalli. It's located in a calm resedential area yet it's very close to the city centre. The rooms were big, spacious and extremely clean. Mr Gowtham, the owner is very hospitable and friendly. He and his wife served us Traditional Malenadu breakfast and it was super tasty. I would highly recommend this place anyone who's looking for a good place to stay

Stay that I will relish in my memory forever. Such a comfortable stay, caring and supportive owners. The taste of the food does not reply only on the taste of it. But the way they serve it with. This place made feel that. The owner of the place and his wife were so down to earth and friendly. She cooks so well, I would really say am missing akki roti right now just by thinking of it. The onething that would attract you the most is the antique look of the owners home. Loveliest place on Earth someone could stay with calm and peace.

Very beautiful home to stay. And the host is so welcoming... I have stayed here twice... And wouldn't think of any other place... Clean bathrooms.. Hot water... Good neat rooms.. Perfect for my requirements

The homestay was very good. Gowtham sir was too kind and helpful as we were only teo girls staying. The hospitality and kindness they showed was so touching. Its really rare to find such people these days. Very awesome and friendly people. Totally recommend this homestay.
