I must say, my personal favorite at this place is the lettuce wrap. The establishment itself is clean and tidy, creating a pleasant environment for dining. The soft background music adds to the overall ambiance. What stood out to me the most was the exceptional staff who were incredibly polite and humble. I would definitely love to visit this place again in the future. The hospitality provided was truly outstanding. And of course, the Chinese cuisine served here was absolutely delicious. The beautiful ambiance and comfortable dining experience, along with the amazing interior design, made it all the more enjoyable. The serving style was lovely as well.

Open China Located at Juhu near Horizon it's Mumbai's first Boutique Chinese Restaurant. They serve some delicacies in Chinese Food while dining there. They also taught me how to use Chopsticks which literally took time to understand the way of handling them, but yes its fun if you love doing new tasks. So Starting with the Ambience Open China according to the name is not in an open place. They are a well built restaurant with pretty beautiful interiors and wallpapers. Some designed walls compatible with their tables and sofa's , this place gives you a warm and cozy feeling and is very comfortable to have you lunch / dinner at! I tried some new Chinese dishes here : Drinks : Blue Sea - Blue sea mocktail isnt new. At Open China they serve " Blue Sea " in a jar with perfect blend of juices and a scoop of vanilla icecream Melony - As the name, this mainly consisted of water melony juice , and some pineapple and passion fruit syrup and served in a glass. Soup : Chicken Clear Soup - Nothing much special about this , mostly same in taste. Those who like clear soup may definitely try this option. They also serve manchow soup, some veg soups tooo... Dim-Sum : Scallop dumpling - Made of prawns & scallop these dumplings were server hot and in a cute round box so that they remain hot. The outer layer was orange in colour made by some seasoning which made it look pretty attractive. Steamed till perfection, They are meant to eat by chopsticks in which u require high patients which will ofcourse in return give u a wonderful taste. Appetizers: Butter garlic prawns - At open china this appetizer became my favorite dish. Prawns me with garlic tossed in butter served in beautiful presentation, these prawns also were delicious and worth trying. Salt n pepper smoked chicken - Chicken made with bell pepper with some smoky aroma and seasoned by salt, pepler and their in house special sauce this tastes good when we eat them hot and instantly as served. Main Course : Schezwan chicken - Quite basic dish like normally fresh chicken made with schezwan sauce this dush really goes well if we eat along with Fried rice. Egg fried rice. - Everyone is aware of this basic chinese dish which is prepared in every corner of India. A bowl of fried rice with strips of omelette on the rice it was presentable and tasted perfect in terms of salt and other spices Hong-Kong Fried soy noodles - Another delicacy to eat with chopsticks. Best Hong Kong Fri noodles i ate till date. Do surely try this as it my fill ur stomah but not you heart (if you are hardcore chinese foodie) Desserts: Noir - Made of Belgium chocolate mousse, some chocolate creme and a layer of feuilletine this dessert is counted in one of the best desert at Open China. Its my personal recommendations to try this dessert and to enjoy it. Framboise - Made of raspberry curd and dark chocolate mousse this dessert is beautifully presented which is click- worthy and taste - worthy. Banoffee - Cutest dessert here made of vanilla white chocolate mousse, caramelized banana with some additional caramel this dessert is really good to try. The service was fast and the staff in terms of help and queries was great. Came to know lot about Chinese cuisine. Open China is an authentic place where you'll get pan Asian cuisine which is located in Juhu. The Ambiance is cool with comfort dining experience and it gives you a different vibe and sets you in a different mood. Coming to Food and drinks - Starting with Mocktails - Mojito - it was very refreshing to start with. Soup- I tried the seafood Coriander which was better and tasteful. You must try this. Dim-sum- Scallop dumplings - must try this. I liked the taste very much. Appetizers - 1. Butter garlic prawns - the best (highly recommended) 2. Lettuce wrap with lamb and Plum sauce - something which I have never tried before. Liked it. Worth a try. Mains - 1. Schezwan chicken (highly recommended) 2. Chicken pan fried noodles - it was so delicious. The flavors of authentic Chinese just gets your taste buds to some level. Desserts - 1. Dark chocolate mouse 2. Sweet caramel and chocolate with a kick of hazelnut and sea salt (highly recommended) Overall, loved the food and the authentic flavors of all the dishes presented. Must try them all. TL;DR Version - Open China has just opened in Juhu and I was invited for a blogger's table. The place is very spacious and has a very modern decor without the cliche Chinese lamps, dragons and wall hangings. The food is good and stays true to authentic Chinese origins. Highlights were the melt-in-the-mouth Tofu, Crystal Dumplings and Hong Kong Fried Soy Noodles. > Food - 4 | > Service - 4 | > Ambience - 4 | > Food - 4 We started off with the mocktails and had the following: Nutty Bliss - Muddled orange peach syrup along with pineapple syrup and lemon extract. Stay With Me - Fresh Malta Mint lime shaken with apple and cranberry juice. The first glass was sweet with the cranberry juice taking over the reins. However, the other glasses post that were much better. Melony - Made with Watermelon with a hint of passion-fruit, this is a very refreshing drink. Blue Sea - It's basically blue curacao blended with vanilla ice-cream and mix fruit juice. If you like creamy mocktails, then this one's a winner. Coming to the food, in chronological order we had the Soups, followed by the Appetizers and the main course with rice and noodles. Soups: 1. Sweet Corn and Asparagus - The asparagus flavor was missing from this soup which we informed the restaurant manager later. However, as a sweet corn soup it was delicious. 2. Clear Soup with Mushrooms and Vegetable - There were two clear soup versions with the only difference that one of them had only mushrooms while the other also had some veggies like carrots also. Dim-sum: 1. Mixed Vegetable Crystal Dumplings - The highlight of the lunch for me. We liked it so much that we ordered another round. The veggies were very crunchy and the dim-sum nice and sticky. 2. Vegetable & Chive Dumplings - Beautifully presented. The pomegranate seed on top gave it a very nice touch. Appetizers: 1. Salt & Pepper Asparagus - Really well made. 2. Bell-pepper and Tofu in chilli basil sauce - The Tofu was so succulent that it just melted in our mouths. The basil gave it a lovely flavor. It might feel slightly sweet to some people though. 3. Lettuce Wrap with Plum Sauce - Vegetarian version of the classic dish. Loved the crunchiness of the lettuce leaves! Main Course - 1. Exotic Veggies in Kung Pao Sauce - Stir-fried vegetables like capsicums, onions, carrot, cabbage and broccoli in Schezuan and soy sauce, this was decent. Have had better Kung Pao veggies in other places. 2. Aubergine in Black Bean Sauce - Not an aubergine fan but this dish absolutely wowed me. Rice & Noodles - 1. 'Open China' Signature Rice - Their house special. Comes with gravy and exotic veggies (including lotus stem, cabbage, beans, bellpeppers etc.) on top. Was a filling dish but nothing to write home about. 2. Hong Kong Soy Noodles - Spicy, thin, slightly crispy and what not! This is a must have if you're having the main course. 3. Vegetable Fried Rice - To be had with the Kung pao veggies as it doesn't come with gravy or so. It's an authentic Chinese place so this fried rice doesn't come with the usual spicy sauces mixed in it. Also, I realized later and the other foodies also agreed that the food was slightly oily. I've been to Yauatcha and never felt that way so they have scope to improve. Desserts - Couldn't have any as none were eggless. >Service - Given we were here for a bloggers table, I wouldn't comment on this. > Ambience - The place is dimly lit and we ended up hopping across tables to get our photos. However, it's comfortable enough for a regular meal. The seating is comfortable with multiple options ranging from plush sofas to regular chairs. They also have some beautiful lamps and not the cliche red Chinese lanterns.

Vegetable Soup Sweet Corn & Asparagus Appetizers : Salt & Pepper Asparagus is something really craving for. Just amazing mixture of spices & veggies with asparagus makes it heavenly to taste . Another amazing dish you can't afford to miss is the Vegetable & Chive Dumplings if you are Dimsums lovers. Bell Pepper & Tofu was a bit sweet but tasted really well with the bell peppers it contains. Mixed Vegetable Crystal Dumplings Vegetable & Chive Dumplings Salt & Pepper Asparagus Bell Pepper & Tofu in Chilli Basil Sauce Rice & Noodles : Open China Signature Rice wasn't upto the mark but it was compensated by the Soya Sauce based Hong Kong noodles. I visited this place a week and half back, so yes this place is new and a must try! The ambiance is perfect if you have a date and your date loved Chinese. And who doesn't love good Chinese? I ordered: APPETISERS AND MAINS: 1. Chicken Manchow soup: perfectly proportioned in all the ingredients, and very less flour which made me love it even more. 5/5 for this one. 2. Butter garlic shrimp: I believe if a Chinese restaurant doesn't serve this tremendously good, then the restaurant isn't the worth, and this place served it so good, I called for two portions. Perfectly made just to melt into the mouth. 5/5 for this one. 3. Salted pepper chicken: crispy chicken strips tossed in pepper and salt: delicious. 5/5 for this one. 4. Chicken Sui Mai dim sums: perfectly cooked inside out, stuffed accurately and delicious. 5/5 for this one. 5. Green prawns curry: I went drooling over this, it was extremely delicious and one of the best green curry I've had lately. Served with plain White rice. 5/5 for this one. MOCKTAILS: 6. Sundowner: nice and refreshing and sweeter side. 5/5. 7. Stay with me : dash of jasmine essence and sweetest mock tail. 5/5 DESSERTS: 8. Heise: layers of crispy chocolate creme and belgian dark chocolate mousse. 9. Jiao tang: sweet caramel and chocolate with the hazelnut and sea salt kick.

Open china is a pure authentic chinese restaurant located at juhu. It's interiors are pleasant with dim lights and soft musics. Their service is excellent. Each and every staff member is very helpful and humble. They even explained us that how are these dishes pronounced in chinese language. Coming to the dishes we tried. Chicken Manchow Soup: The soup was perfectly cooked and tasted like classic manchow soups. It was the best manchow soup I had in recent times. Chicken Sui Mai Dimsum: Though I am not a fan of authentic dimsums but these tasted brilliant. The flavours in the dimsums were delicious. The sauces served were perfect for these dimsums. Salt & Pepper Smoked Chicken: It had soft chicken with crispy. They tasted perfect. Nor to salty neither too crisp. It had perfect combination of salt and pepper. Butter Garlic Prawns: The prawns were fresh and big. Though the presentation wont look so tempting but believe me it tasted really well. It became my favourite dish. If you are going open china do try their Butter Garlic Prawns. Green Curry with Prawns: Perfectly cooked coconut curry served with steam rice. It was full of flavours. Totally enjoyed this. Dessets: They served the best desserts I have ever had. Desserts were unique and delicious. Do recommend to try the appended desserts. Heise: Mixture of chocolate creame and belgian chocolate mousse Fu Penzi (my personal favourite): combination of chocolate cake, dark chocolate mousse and raspberry curd. Jiao tang: Combination of caramel, chocolat, hazelnut and sea salt.
