The discomfort was their parking. Once you find a parking space everything else was great about this place. The ambiance was great. Though we had to wait the downstairs had some good hand made crafts which killed our time. Their paneer was top notch. Pizzas were thin and apt. I didn't like their broccoli soup but Tom soup was ultimate. Visit this place on weekdays if you hate crowds because this restaurant was full during weekend visit.
We went to this place for lunch and the ambience gave us a calm and relaxing vibe. The food here was great and so was the service with minimal turnaround time. The tempura is a must try.The sauce was too good. Also enjoyed the fish n Chips and the Nasi Goreng. Overall a really worth experience.
Service turn around time is bad, and it's kinda hard to understand every waiters who takes the order or make them understand your requirement, not a complaint but could be better if they're trained on the ingredients added and the names of the dishes. Food is decent, especially the vegetable pasta, it was delicious! Cajun prawn was good too! Seafood pizza was below average
The place is a must try if you guys are searching for the best hangout spot or a casual date. Almost every aspect of this cafe is remarkable right from the way they treat their customers, the food they serve and the ambience. Every item we ordered was an absolute delight and I'll definitely visit again for their hospitality. We ordered Red Thai curry with jasmine rice, Grilled fish served with mashed potatoes, vegetables and lemon butter sauce, Pepperoni Pizza, Tiramisu and their mocktails like Grape fruit and Green apple. The Red Thai curry was aromatic and came with a large portion that we ended up ordering rice again to finish up the curry. It was too yummy. The Grilled fish literally melted in our mouth and it tasted heavenly with the lemon butter sauce. I didn't expect much when we ordered pizza but surprisingly it was perfect in its taste and texture. We were apologized by the staff that the dough part was supposed to be thicker and we were offered a free dessert of our choice and we were not charged for it. The Tiramisu was damn good and I loved the way it was presented. Kudos to the entire team and I wish you good luck to maintain the same consistency in your food and service.
@hibiscus.on.ecr That's where we stopped to have a laid back lunch on our way back from a weekend getaway at ECR this weekend! Our orders were minimal as we had we got back from a big sized breakfast buffet at the resort this morning and did not have an appetite to try a lot from their menu. Having said that, we enjoyed our little time there ordering some chicken and paneer satays served with a peanut dip that we loved and had to ask for more! The quesadillas were perfect and served with a sour cream dip made out of hung curd that was a super hit yet again! That iced cafe latte was served just the way I wanted it, strong and with sugar syrup on the side so that I can be vary if how much sugar I am adding to my system! The cafe had come cabanas which looked fun and luckily we got seated in one of them during a busy hour when the place was brimming with young crowd! They also have a store that you have to go through to climb up and reach the first floor. That organic store has some really good food produce/products and interesting utensils for us to shop! A shout out to Hariti, the very talented Pastry chef and restaurant manager of the cafe! She was indeed very kind and engaging, enjoyed the little conversations we had with her the entire time! In all, I will call that "time well spent"! #theurbankaruvaachi #hibiscuscafe #cafesofchennai #cafesonecr
We ordered tom yum soup, chicken quesadillas, chilly chicken, cajun saused prawn and chocolate mousse trio. Quesadilla and prawn was delicious. Soup was ok. Chily chicken was not served hot. It was room temperature. And the desert was not we expected. Since it names mousse we thought it would be like a pastry but it was hard. It tasted like a 5 star chcocolate. But we enjoyed the food and our date. Ambience was good.
Good ambience and friendly service Chilli honey lotus root, chicken tikka pizza and tempura prawns are highly recommended Dine-out payment is acceptable by restaurant. but my only concern is hand wash is available only on restroom and no separate restrooms for men and women. And cafe entry is inside handloom store.
Cajun Prawn Pizza - tasted good. Still could be done better Chicken Mac & Cheese Croquette - tasted avg Overall felt avg taste. Not value for tht much rate paid.
