The Heritage Garden, also known as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Udhyan, is a centrally located park that is meticulously maintained and considered one of the best in the area. The park features a Japanese Miyawaki forest theme and boasts a lush green cover of native plants and trees. In the morning, from 6:00 to 10:30 am, and in the evening, from 4:30 to 8:30 pm, the park is frequented by numerous joggers. There are also seating corridors, a children's play area with multiple activities, and benches for relaxation. On weekends, especially in the evening, the park tends to get crowded.

The special thing about this ten-acre park is that it is not just a park for one class or one age group. On one side are college students on the fence and on the other a group of senior citizens reminiscing. Here, among the youth the guitar tunes, and among the senior citizens, someone easily makes the flute tunes, mesmerizing the entire atmosphere. Apart from the magnificence of the surrounding residential complexes, it is the right space for yoga enthusiasts with its many offices and commercial setups. It has become a place for those who practice regular and mixed martial arts. The landscaped lawns, a separate play area for children, a Japanese-style Miyawaki patch on one side and a circular walking path that winds around the periphery of the park make the Heritage Garden a pleasant place to spend an evening with your loved ones. Heritage Garden is one of the main places for morning walkers in Powai and the surrounding area. There is a beautiful gazebo apart from benches at regular intervals. It also has a beautiful artificial pond which often has beautiful lotus flowers. The stone structure along the circular walkway attracts the attention of all new visitors. There is also a restroom on one side of the park. Another special feature of this park is that some other parks in the city often organize events, so people coming to the park have a lot of trouble. However, events or other mass activities are still not allowed here without permission. The man-made wells located at the corners of the park are used the most during monsoons. But it has not been able to escape from the habit of people coming to the garden to throw large amounts of waste. Garden gates open at 5 am, after that they are closed from 12 noon to 4.30 pm... and open again from 4.30 pm to 10 pm.

This is a very nice garden to walk around or jog. There are people of all age groups here. It gets very dark in the evening and there are quite a few mosquitoes so please carry a bug spray. There is a washroom inside and the park is quite big so it can be used for a picnic too.
