This is part of the Karnataka reserve forest. I hear different opinion here. For me personally they didn't allow to go inside (like proper tour), and even few other cyclists were stopped from. So please dont go with the expectation that you ll be able to walk around. They say it requires a special permission. Rest its a good place.
Very beautiful place to go cycling with friends. Avoid going solo as it is a very isolated place. The last time we were here, we met a group of young cyclists on our way and they warned us from coming here. One of them mentioned that there was a forest official patrolling the area and penalizing anyone caught cycling inside as it is a restricted area. However, on talking to a number of local folks and asking them about such patrolling happening here, none of them seemed familiar with it and told us there is absolutely no problems in cycling inside. This could be a one-off instance of people scamming innocent cyclists, or if it is indeed genuine then please ask for their identity and may be also ask of any signboards on display barring entry into this forest. Besides all this confusion, it is definitely a place worth visiting. And you would be pleasantly surprised to know such gem of a place still exists in Bangalore.

Very good place for cycling i had visited this place in the morning time and was able to see and hear lot of peacock sound. Initially google showed different backside route to enter into this place but somehow we managed to get to correct place.
