Stunning historical place. Exterior is awesome. Definitely crowded but worth watching. Hawa mahal had it's own history so research it before you visit (if interested in history otherwise just for fun.. or to click pictures, you can go anyways).
Another must visit place in Jaipur..Not much expensive.. A min time of 1 hour would be enough even if a person does not loves history.. else you can go spend hours going behind the history esp. if you take a guide.. can find local traditional Rajasthani dress and take pictures along with the soft copy..
A historic place. Hawa Mahal was built for the Queen's to witness the royal procession. Spread across 5 floors- beautiful engineering/ architecture.
Hawa Mahal is one of the major attraction of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal derives its name from its unique structure. It is a unique five storey Palace which looks similar to a honeycomb because of the 953 small windows called jharokhas. A number of small shops are situated right outside the palace premises, where you can buy a wide variety of clothes and gift items.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and I must say it was an absolute delight. This architectural marvel is a must-see for anyone exploring the vibrant city of Jaipur. The first thing that struck me about the Hawa Mahal was its breathtaking facade. The intricately designed pink sandstone structure with its numerous small windows and jharokhas (balconies) was truly awe-inspiring. As I walked closer, the delicate honeycomb lattice work revealed itself, and I couldn't help but marvel at the craftsmanship of the artisans who built this masterpiece. Upon entering the palace, I was transported back in time to the era of the Rajputs. The interiors are equally impressive, with beautifully painted walls adorned with frescoes, detailed motifs, and exquisite artwork that vividly depict the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan The palace's layout is well-preserved, allowing visitors to explore the different chambers and get a glimpse into the royal lifestyle. One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning panoramic view of the city from the top floors. Standing at the balconies, I could feel the gentle breeze passing through the intricately carved latticework, which earned the palace its name, "Hawa Mahal" or "Palace of Winds" The view of Jaipur's bustling streets, with its vibrant colours and chaotic charm, was truly mesmerizing. The Hawa Mahal is conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easily accessible for tourists. The surrounding area is also bustling with activity, offering numerous shops and markets where you can purchase traditional Rajasthani handicrafts and souvenirs. I highly recommend visiting the Hawa Mahal if you're in Jaipur. It is not only a visual treat for history and architecture enthusiasts but also a significant cultural landmark that showcases the grandeur and opulence of Rajasthan's regal past. The experience left me with a deep appreciation for the region's rich history and architectural brilliance. Visiting hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and the entry fee is quite reasonable. Plan your visit accordingly, as the palace can get crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the mesmerizing beauty of this architectural gem. Overall, my visit to Hawa Mahal was an unforgettable experience, and I can not recommend it enough. It is a true gem of Jaipur, representing the cultural heritage of Rajasthan in all its splendour.
This historical place holds vibrant color walls and the tiny windows feels so wholesome. It has a perfect view of complete jaipur. Definitely a must visit place when in jaipur!
Most of the lavish forts are seen in Rajasthan. Hawa Mahal is one of the most beautiful architecture in India.
