A small Hindu temple top of a small hill. Some of the stone are made natural sculptures. One of them look like elefant- called Hati Pahar. Natural beauty are awesome. Must visit this place for half an hour or more.
There is a small Hindu temple in a village near naulakha temple , very dirty place nothing to see else a hillock that look like elephant , so called water stream is no more here. Outside view of temple can see in photo.
Worst.. experience ever . There is no any time table of opening and closing . We got the way to reach Hathi Pahad but the door was locked there and no one was there also we return after this bad experience . I request to tourists who wants to visit there please contact the locals over there . Otherwise you will waste you precious time for this . This place is located in Baidyanathpur , Deoghar . The nearest police station is Kunda police station in the west of Hathi Pahad almost 2 or 3 km from the venue.
Quite a Peaceful Place amidst the noise of the City... An Evening walk here will definitely refresh your mind. This is a not very famous place but one should try to visit here. Although I have been living in Deoghar since my birth but have just recently visited this place ,only had heard about this. There's also a small pond here with temples and a small Elephant engraved on rock...
Hathi Pahar, also known as Mahadevatari, is a popular hillock towards the east of the destination. The hillock is named as Mahadevatari because it houses a beautiful shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The hill is named Hathi Pahar as it looks like an elephant, when seen from a distant place. Apart from this, the hill also has a small stream of water, which flows continuously towards the valley. Tourists as well as devotees often visit this place for consuming the water of the stream. Further, the water is believed to have medicinal values that can cure diseases related to stomach.
There is a small hillock in the east of Deoghar which is popularly known as Hathipahar or Mahadevatari. The name of Mahadevatari defines that this hillock is beneath the temple of Shiva. From a distance this hillock looks like an elephant, that is why, it is called Hathipahar. There is a small stream of water which flows continuously. People visit this place and drink the river water. The belief is that its water can cure all stomach related diseases.
