Hatgad is a historical monument situated near Gujarat - Maharashtra border. While travelling from the border you have to provide a toll tax of Rs30. There is easy and medium trekking within 30-40 minutes you will reach at the highest point. Google maps is showing other locations but while asking local people they will guide the exact location which is next to the hotel and they allow cars and have to provide Rs60.
Hatgadh Fort is a historical monument situated near Saputara. This fort is 3600 feet high and is situated on the borer of Gujrat and Maharashtra. The Hatgadh Fort was built by the greatest King of Marathas, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This fort which is carved in the rocky terrain, offers an enchanting view of the Sahyadri mountains. At the highest point of the fort, you will find an idol of Lord Ganesha. The fort offers a very calm, pure and peaceful setting where you can spend a few hours with your loved ones. For trekker lovers it's a good and easy- medium trek. It will take 30-40 min to trek to the highest level. Sometimes the gate at the entrance is closed and you cannot take the car till the trek start point and you have to walk 5 min more. On the peak it's a big area where you can spend time and have photography. While I was on Trek there was another group of people who observed snakes, so be careful. Thanks
Located near club Mahindra. Best for the beginner trekker. Half and hour trekking if you are starting from the barracks at the road ways. Get the best view at the top.
Small fort in hath gadh, Maharashtra just 7 kms far from saputara. A very beautiful fort for trekking. 3 km of trekking it will take from ground. You may hire bikewala that will charge 100 rupees and they will drop you up to steps (roughly 2 km from the ground) and will come to pick you too. Not a very popular place for saputara visitors, as it's situated in the state of Maharashtra. But one should must go once. Do nothing, simply seat there among clouds.
While staying at Club Mahindra Hatgad, I trekked Hatgad in the morning. It is a pleasant walk and on average takes 15 to 20 mins to reach the top. There is a drivable road till the steps but in the morning the entrance was barricaded. Anyway the walk is easy so recommended to leave the vehicle on the mail road or at club Mahindra if you are staying there. On top you have 360 degree view of the local area. That's it. Hence 3 stars.

Very easy to climb, you can take your vehicle till stairway. If you start very early and if the climate is very clear then you notice almost 10-15 forts from top. Don't miss almost 500 years old devanagri Shilalekh which is carved on the wall.
