Hashtag Hostel - Backpacker Hostel in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

2 days ago visited this place with my family. The hostel is situated in such a way that you have to search for it and need to call them. The sign board mentioning the hostel name doesn't any light. Even though it's a hostel it offers private rooms. We booked two private rooms for 4 people. Their service was worst. No hot water when we came back in the evening. They didn't have geyser in the private rooms, only the solar heated hot water, which was not working.The rooms are spacious but old, some rooms don't have electric kettle. They even didn't have any drinking water. I told them in a very pleasant way, they said there was a problem and they would fix it soon. Next day morning I found out normal water was not coming now on top of other previous issues. I told the receptionist, and the manager, but they didn't take action. Around 9:30 am I went to the desk, I had to sought out to them, only after that water came. The hostel is not as good as it is rated. They have lack of enthusiasm for offering better service. I would say avoid this hostel.

We booked 3 beds inside a 6 bed dormitory during our stay. The beds were pretty much comfortable and staff is cooperative. They have a rooftop restaurant which offers a reasonable price for standard menu items. Overall it was a good experience.

Witnessing individuals openly consuming alcohol and engaging in drug use was disheartening, but what truly shook me was the utter lack of consideration for others. People were vomiting in various corners of the cafe, their condition worsening with each passing moment. It was not only unsightly but also concerning for the safety and hygiene of everyone present. Never have I ever encountered such vicious experience before. Better avoid

This hostel is in tappoven. Excellent location for yoga, the secret waterfall and access to mother Ganga. Good food is available there but also close to many restaurants. Private rooms with ac were large and clean. All staff were helpful and super friendly. Highly recommended staying here.

It is a real home away from home. A friendly and caring #tag deserves to be the best place to stay in Rishikesh. Mr.Udit, owner of #tag is the perfect host. Friendly and helping staff is the strength of the hostel. We would love to come again and again to this place which has young and energetic aura that keeps the spirits up.

My stay at Hashtag Hostel was a nightmare. The parking was stinking badly with dog's and cow's poop due to which I had to park outside the hostel while staking the vehicle's privacy. The rooms were dirty and cramped, making for an uncomfortable experience. The staff were unhelpful and disinterested in guest satisfaction. Noise levels were unbearable, with no regard for quiet hours. Avoid this place at all costs!

My recent stay at this hostel left much to be desired. Not having a hand shower in the toilets was inconvenient, and the absence of a kettle or coffee supplies in the room was disappointing. In today's modern era, it's crucial for establishments to prioritize these basic customer needs for a more comfortable stay.

Best Hostel in rishikesh the private rooms are large, clean and comfortable. There are plenty of live music/activities throughout the week, the restaurant is also very tasty and the staff goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. I look forward to my return trip here
