Temple of 8th-9th century Idol of Harshad Mata here is new as the ancient one is stolen. The aura of this temple is something else you heart won't allow you to leave this place. Too peaceful enviornment, devottes are increasing day by day. Architecture looks like Gurjar-Pratihar style Many beautiful artifacts are on the sides of temple. Once you visit here you would like to come again and again.
Chand baori and Har Sidh mata mandir are two main tourist attractions in Abhaneri It was made by a local king , now it is not in it's full condition but still is good. Many foreign tourists also visit here.
Constructed by King Chandra of Nikumbha Dynasty of Abhaner in 8th- 9th century A.D. Nice carving on stones. Ancient Hindu Temple having marvelous art. Tourist must visit to know about rich Indian history of Hindu Kings.
The temple is dedicated to Harshat Mata, who is considered to be the goddess of joy and "Happiness". The temple was built in the 9th century AD by King Chand of the Chahamana dynasty. It is built in the Solanki architectural style and is decorated with intricate carvings and sculptures. The temple complex includes a sanctuary, a mandapa, and a pradakshina path. One of the most unique features of the temple is the series of projecting balconies that run along the exterior walls. These balconies are decorated with sculptures of gods, goddesses, and mythical creatures. The temple is also known for its stunning ceiling, which is adorned with beautiful frescoes depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. The frescoes are still visible today and have been restored in recent years. Harshat Mata Mandir is a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims alike. It is located near the famous Chand Baori stepwell, which is also a popular tourist attraction. The temple's ancient architecture, intricate carvings, and rich history make it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Indian culture and heritage.
Two nice places can be visited in a single trip one is "Chand baori step well" and other one is "Harshad Mata Temple" at side by side.... Location is easy to reach with highway connected to this place.. We have enjoyed our visit by taking bless from god and seeing great architecture of temple...
The temple is situated in Abhaneri village in Dausa district of Rajasthan, India. It is 95 km away from Jaipur and lies on the Jaipur- Agra road. The village is popular for Harsha Mata Temple and Chand Baori step well. There is a mandap inside the temple which is built on pillars in a sanctum style scheme. The outer walls of the temple have Brahman bhadra niches and images of gods carved on them. There are fine sculptures that can be found in the upper shiver of the temple. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Harshat Mata who is considered to be the goddess of happiness and joy.
The original temple appears to have been built in the panchayatana style, which features a main shrine surrounded by four subsidiary shrines. Only parts of the main shrine now survive and they have been ruined and modified over several centuries, with the tall shikhara tower replaced by a roof-dome. Much of the platform survives, with fragments of carved stones from the original structure, but most of the sculptures have been removed to the museums in Amber and Jaipur.
It's a beautiful open temple. The temple structure is very beautiful It is a historical place
Our driver took us to this lovely restaurant that is a short distance from Chand Bawri Stepwell. There's a great outdoor seating area with comfy chairs and fans with great views of the land. We had the paneer masala, Chana masala and sweet lassi and
Nice, modest restaurant with very good service and food, also you can buy local artwork made by women society at reasonable prices. Located just behind the Well and the Temple.
