visited this place.... Beach is very good and we can enjoy with our family or friends... the Bar and restaurant is not well maintained but location of this place is good and we can see the sea view and we can enjoy... the ACs are not working properly in the BAR and restaurant....
Suryalanka Beach is located 8 km from Bapatla in Guntur District of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Suryalanka Indian Air Force base on the shore of the Bay of Bengal is located near Bapatla.
Best place for a weekend getaway if are from Hyderabad. It is about 370 kms from Hyderabad. If are driving choose Vijayawada highway.. it is good but takes extra 40 kms. The resort is good for a govt owned property. Better take AC room if you travel in summer. Restaurant food is very limited but tasty food. Food cost is nominal. Recently opened a bar for those who would like to have a beer or two. Don't expect top notch room service. But you can enjoy the beach. Don't stay in beach after 6.30 pm as it gets pitch dark ( no lights). But you can enjoy in the early morning. Have a good one.
Worst place ever. They have no one responsible or in charge, The staff's manner of speaking is worth mentioning. You will not be allowed inside the premises unless you have a reservation. The watchman at the gate itself asks that and only allows those who have one. Definitely not recommended. We came all the way from Hyderabad just to stay at this place since it is too close to the beach and also had already talked on their official number, everything was finalized and we asked multiple times for their bank account details for reservation but every text message went ignored and today while we came here and showed the entire conversation to the reception guy, he had this 'I don't care whatever' attitude and simply said that he can't help. After a drive of nearly 8 hours we went to the breakfast area and guess what, they didn't even bother answering us.
I'd recommend to pre-book this place like two or three months prior to your visit and if someone from Harithas management sees this, please teach your staff some manners.
It is typical government hotel, with no clean rooms, torn bedsheets, the doormats stinking, the air-conditioning running all the day but there is no cooling, washrooms are stained. If you just want to enjoy the beach & stay in the evening then it is worth, in the restaurant whatever you order, you need to pay in cash
