Haripad Subramanya swami temple - Hindu temple in Haripad - Alappuzha, India

This temple is dedicated to lord Subramanya Swamy. It is very near to the Mannarsala Nagarjuna temple. Though the temple is small compared to other famous temples in Alleppy region, it is very beautiful and worth visiting.

A beautiful temple of Lord Sri Subramanya located near the highway in Haripad. It was not crowded when I visited on Tuesday. Felt blessed after taking darshan of the lord.

I was struck by its calm and peaceful atmosphere. The temple exudes a positive vibe that is both relaxing and rejuvenating. One of the great things about this temple is that it is less crowded in the evening, which makes it easier to appreciate its beauty and tranquility. Additionally, there was ample parking available.

Haripad Sree Subramanya Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple located in Haripad, a town in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Subramanya, also known as Murugan. You can see the unity of people at time of Thaipooyam Utsavam .It's famous for the longest golden flag post or Kodimaram (dhwajastambha) and one of the largest temple ponds called Perumkulam that stretches over 5 acres.. The road approaching to the temple is very narrow. The temple is near to one of the other famous temple know as Mannarassala Naga Raja Temple.

Haripad Sree Subrmanya Swami temple is Located at Haripad in Alappuzha district, Sree Subrahmanya Swamy temple is one of the oldest temples in Kerala, which is known as the South Palani (Thekkan Palani) is enriched with the existence of the almighty Velayudha Swami who is merciful and a protector. It is believed that the idol has been used by Parasurama for Poojas. Sage Parashuram left the idol in Kandanalloor in Govindamuttom Backwaters. All the landlords of Eakachakra (the then Haripad) had vision regarding the idol and they recovered it from the backwater. The presiding deity of the temple is Murugan in four armed form with Vel in one hand, Vajrayudha in another hand one hand bestowing blessing and the other toughing its thighs. The idol is about eight feet in height. The idol is believed to have presence of Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma. The idol faces east. Beside the main deity there are many other deities which include Dakshina Moorthy, Lord Ganesh, Thiruvambadi Kannan, Naga, Shasta, Keezhtyar Kovil Subrahmanyan.
