Nice place but lot of stairs. A Gurudwara and mandir inside. Aerial city view is amazing from this place. You can go by bike, car to a certain point. There is a restaurant available.

Long climb upto the fort but on steps will take 30 mins. Nice views of Srinagar if you have a clear day. There is a Gurudwara and a Hindu temple along the way. The Fort itself is not restored except for the outside walls

It's a must visit fort when you are here in Srinagar. The location on maps is wrong. Just take the main road and you will see the entry check post towards your left where you have to buy tickets. Post that you can take the car near the main fort entrance and park it there. It is the only place to house a Hindu Temple, a Mosque and a Gurudwara, together. The view of the city from the fort is quite pleasant. A stroll across the fort takes about 45 minutes. To reach the temple, one must go down towards one's right after entering the main gate. On 15th Aug, 2021, a 100 foot Indian flag was raised here. Also, Army's presence is high here. Make sure you adhere to the protocols. It was the old fort under the reign of Ahmed shah abdali of durrani empire, today it's just a military base for indian arm forces and beautiful place for tourists, we are from Bangladesh and visit there during our Kashmir trip, mesmerizing land mark

A great view of Srinagar Old City from the top. The place is managed by defence personnels. Please be careful in taking pictures as this place has army installations. the upper section of the hill houses the fort which will surely take your breath away, once you climb to the last step. The fort was built in 1808 under the reign of the Governor of Kashmir Province of the Durrani Empire, Atta Mohammed Khan. can be reached via two sides of the city, (a) via Rainawari through Kathi Darwaza Gate and (b) via Hawal through the Sangin Darwaza Gate. What is Hari Parbat famous for? It is the site of several important edifices, which include the Durrani Fort, Parvati Temple, a Gurudwara and shrines of Akhund Mullah Shah and Khwaja Makhdoom Sahib

It is one of the best place to see Srinagar city from the bird eye. View of Dal is also mesmerising from the fort. Highly Recommended

It's a very prominent landmark in the skyline of Srinagar. It's lit up very well too but there needs to be more care given to this monument in terms of landscaping, knowledge about the fort, guided tours, a small museum explaining the history of the fort etc. This fort has the potential of becoming a major tourist attraction if treated with a little more love and care.
