Really good place for a walk and to spend sometime with family... Perfect for outdoor picnics and activities with family and loved ones. Be aware of entering into the grassy patches as you may find snakes and other harmful creatures

One of the biggest and beautiful dam in South India.. We visited the dam in July starting and hence we missed the Easter flowing view.. But the place is really beautiful. With lot of park type setup And the view is mesmerizing... The place is really calm .. There is entry fee and need to walk a long distance just keep that in mind

Stopped here enroute to stay. The place is good for a walk and a one time visit. There is an entry fee of Rs 25 and parking of Rs 25. The dam was closed. There was a small park for kids to play. The lighting was good. It is open until 7 pm in the night. Had the government maintained the place well, it is definitely a good place for a picnic and to stop over with family. The kids park had swings, slides and plenty of stuff to play. The fountain was off.

It's basically a dam where the water stops or restricts the flow of surface water or underground streams. Reservoirs created by dams not only suppress floods but also provide water for activities such as irrigation, human consumption, industrial use, aquaculture, and navigability. Basically, you'll get to see the light show in the evening and spend time in the garden during the day.

Very Nice place for a evening visit. Don't miss the Musical Fountain from 7 PM to 7.30 PM.

It's a beautiful view, i wish there was bit of water flowing, it's near to elephant camp so it will worth travel. If u plan on coming to Mangalore from mysore or madikeri, take route to harangi then to bisle then to Mangalore it's will be a very worth trip.
