I had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Happy Drifters. The hostel has a warm, cozy feel to it. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It's clean and well maintained. The food at the cafe is amazingly tasty and has a homely feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay , meeting new people, eating good food and happily drifting away at the Happy drifters. :)
Had a wonderful experience staying at Happy Drifters - the place makes for an easy recommendation. Stayed in a female dormitory and was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom and loved the coziness of my bunk bed. It's a great place to meet fellow travellers from different parts of the world. The hostel has a chill vibe and great staff. Shoutout to Bhagyasree, who helped plan our trips down to the minutest detail and in general made us feel welcome with her warm and cheerful presence. Arpan too helped enhance our overall stay. The location is pretty great too as it's close to the airport as well as the market. The staff helps make travel arrangements and have good knowledge of the surroundings. The food, especially, was great - do try the shakshouka prepared by the in-house chefs; it was amazing. All in all a great experience and I'll definitely be going back here whenever I'm in Leh.
We had a wonderful stay. We arrived late from Manali and they stayed open to greet us. Very hospitable staff who are happy to help and give information, for us about local treks. We left our bags with them while we were away and they reserved beds for our return. The hostel is a short walk away from the market. Great place to stay, Leh/Ladakh is a great place to visit
Highly recommend staying at Happy Drifters. I used the hostel as a home base for my full time in Ladakh, and it was so great. Arpan and everyone there are so helpful and went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed - recs, taxi bookings, bike rentals, etc. Definitely worth staying!
This place really felt like home for us. The staff are so kind and helpful and feel more like friends rather than business people. There are tea and coffee facilities available for free that all are encouraged to use. There is a washing machine available at a cheap rate and a large closed in yard where you can hang out your clothes. All in all, it feels like the staff want you to have a good time and aren't just trying to take as much money as possible, as is the feel in many other Indian hostels. The entrance to the hostel may be off-putting to some at first, with the grimy floor of the restaurant out the front blackening the carpeted entrance to the hostel, but the common room itself and the dorms are clean. Some guests were smoking in the common room at times which was not a vibe, but this was rare. The restaurant serves up some excellent food! We recommend the thali, palak paneer (available on request), shakshuka (made by the owner himself), and non-veg curries. Burgers also looked well-made but we didn't try them. The rooms are cleaned between guests. For hot water you need to have a shower during the day, as it is only solar heated. The area is temperate so you won't need AC, which is not provided. Fans are sufficient. The roof in one of the rooms we were staying had paint that was peeling off so we had to move the bed but the staff are super approachable. We were in a situation where we were stuck in Leh due to natural disasters and the staff were so accommodating for us, given our uncertain plans.
Well what can I say, I had a lovely time here. The rooms are cozy and clean, food is AMAZING, you can't stop asking for chai. And the people taking care of the property are the best!! Bhagyashree, Arpan and Rupankar are the warmest and fun people you would find here.
We just spent 5 nights here from 28th May 2023 to 1st June 2023. It has very cozy and friendly vibe for everyone. We stayed in a private room and the room was very spacious, clean and the bed was good as well along with cozy blankets. The location of the hostel is perfect, very close to the Leh Airport(10 mins drive) as well as Leh Market (10 mins walk). Its very close to The Tibetan Kitchen. Our hosts-Arpan Urzi and Bhagyashree were awesome. They are full of warmth and welcoming and polite attitude. We felt like home and they were always ready to listen to our needs and wants and fulfill them. Many thanks to them for their always smiling faces. We never had any problem and its a lovely place for not only backpackers or bikers but also for families. Plus point: They have a big parking space as well as their own cafe/restaurant, food was delicious and quantity was also good. Don't forget to ask for their guidance on local tour. At the moment just added few photos of the food we had there and the common room picture.
I spent a very enjoyable time here. The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are exactly what I wished for in terms of price and cleanliness and the location is very close to the city center. I can fully recommend this hostel.

We were on the lookout for a place to work from Leh and Gutur house turned out to be just the perfect option. Reachability: The place is hardly 5 mins from the market if you have a bike yet away from the hustle and bustle of the main market area. A

This trip to Ladhak curated by Thinlay at Gatpo alongside Kevin, was the best one I've experienced yet. It wasn't your regular tour that includes only touristy places but one that was whole some. They painstakingly included offbeat places like remote
Great service. Very reliable bike. I took 3 tours: Ladakh (1300km)- Jammu & Kashmir (2000km) - Manali (1000km) with the same Himalayan (LA 02 - 8511) without having any problems during the 3 trips. I highly recommend WildYak and this particular bike.
"best price, best cars and best drivers!" After searching and negotiating multiple vendors online, we landed up with Ladakh Adventures. I want to highlight that it was a girls only trip from 7-11 September. My mother and I were felt very comfortable
