This great historical site offers so much information about South India and their various importance. Yes it's a tedious walk around for about 4-5 km which is in form of a circuit, but that's the part where you feel like walking in the history, and even feeling being present when things took place. Note that when it's sunny it could get very hot and warm, so it's adviced to wear light colour clothes and stay hydrated. The food cost around could be a little more than you expected but that's okay too.
Hampi is a Historical place which I would love to visit any day any number of times. The place has some attractions that you feel so good n happy being there again . One shud visit the place with atleast 3 days in hand. Each and every part of the city is picturesque. The architecture n engineering is simply superb even in 14th century.
Decent place for visit, one night journey by bus from Hyderabad. Many stone archifats built are present and well maintained. Really worth visiting. A river nearby just beside virupaksha temple is really good clean and cold water flowing through it. Enjoyed the visit. There is a dam and a park nearby to it, should visit in the evening. The sunset and view there is really beautiful. The history and architectures are well preserved and open for tourism.
Its the most beautiful and Aesthetic place in Karnataka. You could witness ruins and maintained Vijayanagara empire. Hampi is a calm place to spend time with friends. Hiring a vehicle is more convenient to visit every spot in Hampi. A whole day is needed and it's not even enough to explore this place.
Experience was nice. Before you go must read some information otherwise you not understand properly. The numbers of Electric vehicles is very less so waiting time is too much for vehicles so better i personally advise go for walk is near 800 m and take time 14-18 min rather then wait for 30-40 minutes and wasting time and money. If you are plan in summer must take one umbrella and sunscreen for better enjoyment of this place. The image of this place is print on 50rs Indian Currency.
One Day at Hampi, Karnataka
Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a vast archaeological site in the Indian state of Karnataka. It was once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, one of the most powerful empires in medieval India. Hampi is home to over 1,600 temples, monuments, and other structures, many of which are in ruins.
Morning
I started my day at Hampi with a visit to the Virupaksha Temple, one of the oldest and most important temples in the site. The temple is still in use today, and it is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus. I was amazed by the intricate carvings and sculptures on the temple walls and pillars.
After visiting the Virupaksha Temple, I headed to the Royal Enclosure, the former heart of the Vijayanagara Empire. The Royal Enclosure is home to many impressive structures, including the Lotus Mahal, the Elephant Stables, and the Queen's Bath. I was particularly struck by the Lotus Mahal, a beautiful pavilion with delicate carvings and intricate latticework.
Afternoon
After lunch, I visited the Vittala Temple Complex, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hampi. The Vittala Temple Complex is home to a number of impressive structures, including the Stone Chariot, the Musical Pillars, and the 100 Pillar Hall. I was particularly fascinated by the Stone Chariot, a monolithic statue of a chariot that is said to have been used in religious festivals.
Evening
For my last stop of the day, I headed to Matanga Hill to watch the sunset. Matanga Hill is a short climb from the main Hampi site, but it offers stunning views of the ruins and the surrounding countryside. I sat on the top of the hill and watched as the sun slowly set over the ruins, casting a golden glow over the landscape
If someone ask me what could be the best place to visit in India then i would always prefer Hampi. Because it is not the only the place it is an emotions
This is one of the UNESCO world heritage site and known for amazing architecture constructed by stone. Virupaksha temple near the revived Hampi bazar, a carved stone chariot in front of the huge Vittala temple, Daroji bear sanctuary is home to indian sloth bear and Tungabhadra dam are main point of attraction. This area has many close resemblances to the places described in the Ramayana epic. The stone chariot which featured in Rs 50 note must not be mossed. It is located at the centre of Vittala temple. Entry ticket is Rs 40 and there battery operated vehicles as well to reach the temple site from parking. You will be amazed to see the ruins and architecture of these ruins.
Temple with vibes. Hampi's main temple. Best time to visit is early morning or evening time you can enjoy. Noon it will be too hot. Hire a guide to explore each and every sculpture of this temple. Parking is available around 500m away. You can click
A lot of temple ruins on the Hemakuta Hill - this is the gist of this place.

We did feed fishes as well in the pond there.
The host is kind and welcoming. Food was freshly made, tasty and served on time. Rooms are clean and comfortable with AC and hot water. Overall Vinayaka Homestay was a good place to stay over.
Had a peaceful stay here at Lotus Riya. Our spacious room was clean with a very comfortable bed. The whole family are so lovely and made us feel very welcome. They recommended their close friend Mr.Paul the rickshaw and tour guide, who was there for
