Hampi Falls - Featured Reviews (327)
Good for rock climbers, rock jumping too. The water is damn clean. The climate was superb, less rushed. We visited during evening around 4pm. The falls stretches too long, which was also showed by our Tour operator
Surprisingly the waterfalls was a good experience. The water was full and had multiple small falls. There is theppa (boat) ride which will take you very close to the falls. Also there were not many people. Was a different and thrilling experience.
Beautiful (and almost alien-like) rock formations as a result of water erosion. This map marker takes you to a point that's rather dirty and doesn't have easy access to the water. There are a couple hotels nearby (White Sands). If you go there and ask the very friendly staff to let you go through their property, it's a short 2-5 min walk on sand and rocks to the water. Maybe you can even buy a coffee at the hotel to give them some business. Getting close to the rocks and water is a surreal experience! Note: all my photos were taken from the White Sands hotel approach. I have no affiliation with them. They just seemed friendly and nice.
"This place may not boast a grand waterfall, but it's an ideal spot for dipping your feet and unwinding. You'll find areas around the waterfall suitable for swimming, so it's a good idea to bring an extra set of clothes. Perfect for a relaxing day amidst nature!"
First you wont even get to know if there is any waterfall and 2nd when you search in on google map and set direction, there is no signboard for it. except one small signage on the road. There is no proper road to guidance to reach there. And thats not the exact waterfall you will reach. to reach waterfall you will have to take boat facility to see it which will cost you ~500/- Else you can just enjoy the view after parking your vehicle.
The place is not as big as its to mention as a water fall but its enough to have a small session of enjoyment. Dont expect any big water fall and all. Just enjoy the place , if you want tot have a jump , do it and come back. The route to entry is little confusing as its through a small road which in turn goes infront of some local homes.
There is not much of a waterfall but an area of the Tungabadra river where water gushes downstream through the rocks. It is a good spot to visit when there is enough water in the river. There are coracle rides in this area (but not sure how safe it is with the river gushing downstream and with the rocks). Less crowds, you can drive through a small road through the Sanapur village (hardly one vehicle can go through the road though), space for few vehicles to park. Nice buffaloes grazing in the area, scenic spot with nice paddy fields around with overlooking hillocks
It's a hidden Jem in Hampi, near to shree Virupaksha temple, no roads and walk ways available for this place. We need to take help from local people to reach. Best place to visit with friends, we stay here at night with the support of local people. Visiting in the winter season will be good. Carry a tent and safety items if you plan for a night stay.
