This is the place for that deep caramel, ek kadam karak chai you have been craving on a sleepy afternoon. It's centrally located and about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The prices are reasonable, it was Rs. 15 for a small and Rs. 25 for a large chai, and they accept UPI payments which added to the convenience. Really and truly this is more of a tea stall, since they don't have places for sitting, though there's a tall neem tree which gives ample shade. The staff are very helpful and from my brief visit I could tell this is a popular local gem.
Tried the tandoori chai here and it was authentic and refreshing. Especially the creaminess and the unique muddy aroma of the kullads. Been here a couple of times and the taste is consistent too. Would totally recommend this place!
Tandoori chai one of its best and one should taste atleast once in life time. The staff at this cafe with their chai make you enjoy the cafe. The serving pots are one of its unique kind. Overall one should visit HAMPI-TANDOORI CAFE HOSPET Once. Thanks Mr. Pruthvi uppur for the special chai.
