Hampi Bazaar, a bustling and historic marketplace located in the heart of the magnificent town of Hampi, is a captivating journey through time and culture. During my recent visit, I was entranced by the vibrant atmosphere and the unique blend of history and commerce that defines this extraordinary place. Hampi Bazaar is more than just a market; it is a living testament to the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. The ruins of the once-prosperous city stand as silent witnesses to the town's former glory, and the market has seamlessly integrated itself into this ancient landscape. The juxtaposition of the old and the new is striking, as market stalls line the streets, showcasing a rich tapestry of handcrafted goods, clothing, jewelry, and souvenirs, all against a backdrop of awe-inspiring archaeological remnants. As you stroll through the bazaar, you'll be greeted by friendly locals who are eager to share their stories and the town's heritage. It's not uncommon to strike up conversations with them and gain valuable insights into the town's past and present. Hampi Bazaar is a place where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture, purchase unique souvenirs, and explore the rich historical tapestry of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The market is a perfect representation of the essence of Hampi itself - a blend of ancient history and modern-day life, all set against the dramatic backdrop of otherworldly rock formations and ruins. In conclusion, Hampi Bazaar is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking a quintessential Hampi experience. It's a place where the past and present coexist harmoniously, making it a remarkable and culturally rich stop on any Hampi itinerary. From its bustling streets to its profound historical significance, Hampi Bazaar leaves an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who visit.

This was the main Bazaar Street of Hampi. This lined up on both sides by the Virupaksha Temple on one side to the Monolithic Nandi Bull. This housed the Bazaar of Hampi. You can click amazing pictures of the long halls of stone pillars.

You have to see it to believe it. Hampi Bazaar is a big spread area, dusty boulevard lined with pavalaions/stall structures. A glorous past, where diamonds were sold during that time. Sufficeint space between to lines of shops clearlu shows lot of people must be coming to do business/shopping. Few images shows foriegn business man doing business here.

Everyone speak of the great Pyramids of Egypt and many other such man made structures. But those who can't travel to such distances here it's hampi, some says that it was the second biggest citys of 14th century... A must watch place for sure to feel how skilled were our ancestors that too without the modern techniques and equipments... Still managed to construct such temples and structures to utmost perfection. The only sad thing was how bad the visitiors make those places by throwing wastes all around ... Authorities need to be more attentive

One of the best places to visit on Vacation. The geography of the place along with the medieval construction is a feast for the eyes. The ruins of erstwhile Vijayanagara kindlom will make you imagine the powerful time of the mediaeval India. A best place to see the vesara style architecture and mediaeval town planning.

Hampi Bazaar in the Hampi village is a vibrant place filled with jewelleries, clothes and antiques. It was once the residential area of the nobles and one of the first open malls of our history. The hampi bazaar has many things to offer to its visitors.

Hampi Bazaar is a unique attraction of Hampi. Located in front of the Virupaksha Temple, the Hampi Bazaar is a well-known market place that spreads for more than one kilometer. The road passing through the market has series of old pavilions on both sides. The place used to be a thriving market during the days of the Vijayanagara Empire. Though the market has lost much of its sheen and significance, it is still popular among the tourists.
