Having bought multiple set of toys from different Hamleys outlets, we had a surprising experience in Hamleys Kanpur outlet. The toys we bought were defective! However, the events that unfolded post that made me write this review. The staff Khushi, who sold us those items a day before, turned rude & uncooperative when we went to exchange, asking us to "adjust"! To make sure the incident doesn't repeat, we wished to check the new set of toys we were buying but once again the staff in question point blank refused to set them up & show us! Fortunately, the other staff were more professional & helped us sort the whole thing out. In this era of online shopping & service orientation, this experience made me wonder 2 things- 1. are brand such as Hamleys diluted in tier II cities 2. are staff such as Khushi suitable to represent Hamleys brand

Faced an issue in return & exchange for a damaged toy that they gave me. Khushi was rude and failed to understand the situation. She was just pushing to keep the poor quality toy. Reluctantly agreed to exchange, thanks to other staff members. Please avoid this Hamleys store. I'm a regular in purchasing toys from Hamleys outlets in Bangalore and Mumbai. Never faced any issue. This Kanpur store has some problem. Quality of toys is not that great. Collection is average. Plus extremely poor service levels owing to staff like Khushi. Btw she was so arrogant, that she told go and make a complaint by mailing Hamleys.
