Halwai Junction - North Indian restaurant in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

Had been to this place to try some North Indian food last week and it turned out to be better than expected. Ordered rajma chawal and lassi. Lassi I have to say was really well made and should be tried when you're here, a star rating extra for that. Even though space is small and can be an issue here with many people at rush hours even waiting to get a seat inside. Need to come back again to try their other dishes in the menu, be it the chaats or the chole bhature(which looked really good).

Nice food, i very much like the chole batura. They serve ghee phulkas too.. paneer amritsari is classic touch. Never miss the masala butter milk and masala coke.

The food is really good in here like really good total Punjabi taste all the way from AMRITSAR The serve every dish with little aalo ki masaledaar subzi and green chilly pickle pudina chutney and sliced onions The food and the sides are really yummy They have the best chole bhature there!!!! The lassi was also really good and refreshing it had a tinge of the Rose flavour The halwa though lacked of ghee and was a total disappointment The panner dish contains big pieces of panner well cooked in butter The food is to drool for The other dishes were simply greatttt

Its jus an amazing restaurant, they serve very very yummy food.... We tried chole bature, paratha, veg palav, jalebi was too tasty (show stopper). The tastiest jalebi I had tasted so far. Must try restaurant in the vicinity. Seatings are available, but only Self service. Parking is available in the basement of the building in which the restaurant is located.

They claim to be a chole bature expert but I felt the chole was overkilled with masala powder and not even the whole masala was used. Also the chole portion was so less it was not enough from 2 bature.

When you are deep down South, sometimes you long for real North Indian food. Halwai Junction is the perfect solution for that cravings. The moment I savoured my first spoonful of chole, I remembered, I tasted Amritsar. It was real. It was amazing. It also had the small bowl of chutney to go along with chole. The Kamal Hassan look-alike sitting by our side could not finish his Kulcha. We decided to visit them again to try other items. We were not disappointed. Rather we were happy that we tried them again. I asked Ms Priti, perhaps the owner, how they could recreate such a taste. Her simple explanation was that , 1 they do it the way they do it at home and 2. They source the key ingredients from up North India. A north based vendor manages the key supply chain. That explains. Now that they appear to be doing well, they should improve the furniture. Shop space is very expensive hence will remain a issue. 15 to 20 people can sit out at a time. A small joint located inside Prestige Plaza,Yelahanka. Pure authentic punjabi fresh,out of the tawa lip smacking parathas, puris, pulav, chaats, gajar halwa and other few north Indian sweets. Self Service. Clean Reasonably priced.

Chhole Bhatura was very tasty and a must try! All the dishes we tried were delicious! The owner is very warm, welcoming, humble and passionate about the business. Wishing you all the best mam!
