Hall Of Heroes - Museum in Udaipur - Udaipur, India

The Hall of heroes is foremost dedicated to Maharana Pratap and then to the other great warriors in his dynasty. It shows us the timeline of events that has taken place in his life through big banners with pictures followed by the description of events. At another floor you will find huge models of the battlegrounds like Haldighati and other forts too. We also have another hall dedicated to many warrior princes like Udai Singh whose life stories are depicted through huge pictures. This building is three storeyed and is situated in a hillock Motimagri which overlooks the Fateh Sagar lake.

It's a very nice museum. It is nice & clean. You can reach there by an electric car or by walking. It is just opposite to the boating center of Fateh Sagar lake. There is a lot of information along with the portraits about the history. They have a miniature version of forts of Udaipur like the City palace, Chittorgarh, battle field of Haldighati. There's a folk dance show , puppet show also besides it.

Provides you a wide idea of how vast the Mewar empire was and as well as the life milestones of Maharana Pratap, his ideology, his childhood and his achievements. There are model versions of Kumbhalgarh Fort, chittorgarh fort, City Palace of Udaipur. Good for kids.

It's a very good place to visit if you understand the story of Pratap. I like coming here, it's clean and well maintained. The view was overwhelming on top. Must must must must go?

This museum of life-size paintings, portraits os Maharana Pratap and several soldiers who fought by his side in the various battles he fought for the sovereignty of Mewar State There are huge models of the Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh forts as also a scene depicting the battle of Haldighati. A visit to this museum gives is a glimpse into Mewar's history and those heros who helped maintain its independence.

Its a memorial showcasing the mewar rulers and their artifacts. The museum has life scale models of various forts and also many battle locations with point to point description. Its just located at some distance from the Maharana Pratap statue located on the hilltop.

The place is more of a museum and provides a scenic beauty of the fatehsagar lake. For best experience, get a guide at this place. They will give you a better insight and help you understand the importance of the relics in the museum. If you want to shop(a limited number of shops) this place offers a better rate than the markets in Udaipur.
