Beautiful temple with homely and calm atmosphere. One can ride little boats in Ganges. This temple is situated adjacent to the river which makes it more desirable place. Most serene place I've ever been. Love it.

Halisahar was the birth place of Rani Rasmani. As per the legend, during her times in Halisahar, she used this ghat. This place has an amazing ambience with trees and an open field. The Ramkrishna Sevashram is situated just beside the Ghat. There is a huge Kali temple (Nabaratna Style) situated inside the Sevashram. The temple sturcture will remind you of Dakshineshwar Temple. The Sevashram environment is very good. Other Shiva Temples are also there. The temple foundation is approx 10 feet above from the ground. The deity is different from what you have seen. Beside the main goddess temple, there is a Ramakrishna Temple. During Kalpataru Utsav, a big fair is organized in the field just opposite to the sevashram. You can come here and take bhog. Overall this place is very good for a day trip.
