HAIKU, The Asian Kitchen - Featured Reviews (1869)
After hearing great reviews, i went to this restaurant for my son's birthday. I went on weekend and luckily not that crowded. Small place and ambience is kind of OK. We had ordered Ramen, Tom kha soup and taste is fabulous. Tried starters silken Tofu with basil and it is so tender. Money bags is another starter and it did not meet my expectations. Thai ice tea with watermelon flavour is good but high in sugar. Overall it is worth visit who likes to experience different kind of asian foods. Prices are little higher due to the fact that it is in located in the centre of IT hub.
I absolutely love asian cuisine and Haiku ticks all the right boxes when it comes to the food. We ordered Sushis which was perfectly oozing with umami flavour. The Yakimeshi was a warm bowl of soul food as it is supposed to be. No complaints at all when it comes to the taste. Still I deducted 2 stars because of the horrifying wait time. They have almost no place for couples (2-3 tables at max) and despite confirmed booking (Which we checked by calling the restaurant also) we had to wait 40 mins which was completely unacceptable. I will recommend rather you order through Swiggy or Zomato than wasting your precious time.
Here's my personal experience at Haiku, 1. Location :- It's inside of a campus so no tension of traffic or noise etc. 2. Atmosphere :- The vibe is really awesome, after entering you'll feel it's an Asian Restaurant. The simple yet catchy. 3. Service :- The manager is really a gentleman, he'll help you in everything and get things done. 4. Food :- Food is really good, we ordered Tum Yum soup it's most recommended one , we have Korean Chicken , and Mojitos.
The food is authentically Asian and delicious. I ordered the the Sumai dimsums, Gyoza dimsums and Khao Suey soup, and loved them all. The ambience is nice and aesthetic., great place to hang out. The only drawback is the high prices.
Its probably one of the best places in Hyderabad for south-east asian cuisine, especially if you love soups. Bustling with flavours and often fresh herbs make the food interesting. SE-Asian is tricky cuisine involving different ingredients which if not in balance can ruin the dish. Menu is overly complicated which means not all ingredients can be found fresh at all times and unless the Chef is present, rest of staff can only prepare certain popular dishes efficiently. If you are going for a gourmet experience, check if Chef is in the house, if not, stick to regular dishes (ask captain) and don't venture unknown territories.
My mother was craving Asian food so i googled and found Haiku. The place is located within a compound and the ambiance is comfy and modern. We had Tom Yum Soup (7/10), Thai Coconut Prawns (9/10), Pad Thai (9/10), Chicken Katsu (8.5/10) and for beverage my mother had Lemon Ice-T (10/10). We enjoyed our time and our waiter Ms. Priscilla who recommended to us a delicious desert which was fantastic. Overall 9/10.
A really nice restaurant near the financial district! The food was really fresh so it did take some time to come out but was well worth it! We got some free kimchi at the table which was a little sweeter but still really good. We got the edamame with chili and garlic and the Tom Ya soup which were both really good! I also got the vegetarian gyoza which came with an amazing onion topping that I loved! I tried some of the curries as well and those were great! It is a bit pricey compared to alternatives but I'd say it's worth it for a nicer occasion.
Haiku, the Asian kitchen is located in Ramkey Towers. This place has a nice ambience and great food. Ordered chilli basil fish, chilli clay pot chicken curry, chicken mee goreng, Khao pad, and sesame fried chicken. All items tasted authentic. The service was good. Nice place to visit and enjoy a good dinner
