I used to be a regular here many years ago as the taste used to be great . With lots of expectations got mutton biryani and the taste didn't meet the expectations. Briyani 3/5 Brinjal Thokku 2/5 Won't be visiting again .
Service is very worst and they don't even give to customer and also one important pls do not prefer to buy briyani here because they keep only 2 small bone pieces of you buy chicken and mutton briyani which cost high price when comparing to other briyani center. In periamet there are other good briyani center are there like Karim and yacoob. Also don't believe any YouTube reviewer who give good review for shop. I had very bad experience with this shop 2 to 3 times. Also they will not sell kushka during peak hours in afternoon time such a money minded. I will give only no star for this restaurant.
Good Taste of Briyani in Chennai City, At an Affordable price. This Place Gives u Limited Briyani but it has good taste. It offers take away also... The quantity in Take away has more than Dining in. It seems to small hotel but great taste than many major Briyani restaurants in Chennai. There's a variety side dishes also. I had mutton Briyani here a good taste in Chennai I have experienced. I won't say the best, but it's good than many... Don't miss it...
Not worth the hype.. taste is very average.. believed some YouTube reviewers and went there.. but not as expected. Better try some other restaurants near by.
We reached this mess at 11:55 and it was closed and they said will open 12 pm. After opened, we asked to buy tokens with cash only. I had mutton biriyani and it was tasty. Mutton pieces in briyani were soft and smooth. Its taste like vintage buhari briyani. Service and atmosphere - not as expected. No AC. No comfortable seats. No parking space for cars and bikes.
Waste waste .. Had chicken biriyani today rs.160 it is not Worthable for this money quantity less, quality is ok only.. But u can have ghee rice it is very Worthable for rs. 85.. I dont like this place..
the biriyani has lost its tast as days are passing by. I was a regular customer when i was in chennai 4 years back. This time when visiting chennai , i made it to this restaurant for lunch. BUT THE BIRIYANI WAS FAR BELOW AVERAGE. DISAPPOINTED.
H Akbar mess never disappoints you when it comes to taste. The mutton biryani here holds it's own pride in and around periyamed area. Earlier it used to be jam packed with different category of customers. After few issues faced by the hotel, the inflow of people is low nowadays. Still the mentality of the management didn't change so far. Whether the hotel is crowded or not, you won't be able to find smile in anyone from the hotel.
