It was one of the good cafe's of pallavaram. I used to go regularly mainly for the lemon tea. Off late they guys seems to be lazy. Makes tea out of dried lemons. Sometimes they don't even have lemons and turn down the customer. Being a regular customer they hardly pay attention to our needs. Off late they are busy in chit chatting than attending customers. Hence moved to mulberry cafe. Same menu with more options. Better ambience and maintains good hygiene.
Me and my wife use to come all the way from pozhichalur every single day just to have lemon tea, coz we loved the taste of your tea. As they know us everyday, 2 guys and 1 lady, even starts to prepare our tea before we could place the our orders. We have been that familiar. One evening, we stepped in and ordered our usual lemon tea, all 3 workers in the shop 2 young guys and a lady, opened the fridge and realized that they dint have the lemons. Instead to walk 300meters to get lemons from the market which is right next to the shop, they took the easy way to lose regular customers like us by saying " NO, WE DONT HAVE LEMONS " and that lethargic attitude has been shown few days before the incident when we complained that the lemons were old. The answer that we received was a nasty smile. Even though shop being empty, the workers need to be reminded by the customers to wipe the table before being seated. So we decided not to visit the shop again. This happened on the 5th of Nov. FYI
Good option for filter coffee with a couple for sweetener additions natural palm sugar, sugar, brown sugar etc. Adjacent to the road. Parking is a hunt. Cost comparative. Fast service. Nicely decorated with Chennai, tea, coffee themed wallpapers. Overall a good cafe for quick stop and go option
Just popped in for a cup of Tea. Served freshly prepared Ginger tea.. Good one.
