Gurudwara Shri Godri Sahib - Gurudwara in Faridkot Rural - Faridkot, India

It's a beautiful Gurudwara Sahib built in the memory of Baba Sheikh Farid Ji Shakargand. It's out of the city rush therefore it's a very peaceful place. There is plenty of parking space available in the courtyard. There is an old Gurudwara Sahib building left to the entrance and there is a new one as well which is more like a big hall. Langar and tea served here. There is a holy pond where you can take dip before offering prayers. If you want to stay overnight, they provide that accomodation too. There is book stall available near langar hall from where you can buy books related to Baba Farid Ji and other respected Sikh figures. It's a spiritual place, behave yourself when you are visiting here.

Very peaceful experience....... vibrant and positive vibes in this place. Annual Mela is comming,i.e, sept 20 to 23 every year. At Mela there is bit rush as pilgrims visit from all over nearby districts. But on usual days .... it's a normal holy place and langar and other essential facilities available all the time

Godri sahib is situated on the out skirts about 4 K.M. on Faridkot-Kotkapura road. It is believed that Baba Sheikh Farid left his godari (Jacket) there before entering Faridkot town. A beautiful gurdwara was constructed in 1982 and a Sant Sarover was later constructed at this place.Large numbers of people visit this place every Thursday and also take bath in this Sarover.
