I visited Guru Sweets Mysore during my trip to the city and I was amazed by the quality and taste of their sweets. The Mysore Pak was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, with a perfect balance of sweetness and richness. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they packed the sweets nicely for me to take home. The shop is small but clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend Guru Sweets Mysore to anyone who loves Indian sweets or wants to try something new. It is a must-visit place in Mysore!

Decent mysore pak. They have introduced mysore pak to the world in 1935. The history runs in that area so lot of people visit and one need to wait 30 minutes to get the mysore pak here. I have reduced 2 stars because of the guy who gives you mysore pak attitude is nowhere helping and the taste of the mysore pak is getting bad by last 2 decades. It was not the same mysore pak which we used to have at early 2000. For 1 kg special mysore pak it is 600 rupees which is too much for the taste they are offering. I wish they bring back the old taste and kick out that old guy who sits at the counter.

If you are Mysore pak lover, and want to taste authentic Mysore pak from Mysore, must must visit Guru sweet mart. You will get various types of mysore pak including Ghee Mysore pak. Ghee Mysore pak (250grm is 150) is just awesome, melted in mouth. It will stay out of fridge 15days, onle reheat before eating, so proper taste will come out. You also get more varieties of sweets, but speciality is Mysore pak. If you will take for home which is another city or state, please mention them, they will pack like that. Staffs are very helpful.

This Is oldest mysore pak shop -Guru Sweets - No 1/3, Sayyaji Roa Road, Devaraja Market Building, Devaraja Mohalla, Mysore - 570001 (Near to Chikka Gadgar) Guru Sweet Mart-the place where the first iconic sweet of Karnataka -Mysore Pak was made and served to the Maharaja of Mysore -Krishnaraja Wadeyar IV, more than 100 yrs ago, located at Sayyaji circle. Must try -Mysore plain ghee block and the Crunchy Mysore Pak. They also have a variety of savouries. Right opposite the store are fruit and vegetable vendors selling fresh produce.

Not all worth all the hype. Could be an unpopular opinion but that's my genuine thoughts. Yes, they have the legacy for introducing the Mysore Pak. That's a good story to know but the products are not worth the price. Atleast not Mysore Pak. We specifically traveled to the store to get the sweets as we had heard about it. The packaging is not worth gifting to anyone. They just cut random blocks, without any proper shape. Even the cover is not gift worthy. The packaging and handling is not hygienic as well. They don't use gloves to pack and flies can be seen sitting on the sweets. I would say, if you're from Bangalore, go for Mysore Pak by Nandini. You can get them in any Nandini Parlours in Bangalore. If you're travelling by flight, airport has exclusive Nandini outlet as well. The taste and texture of Nandini Mysore Pak is much better and the packaging makes it ideal for gifting.

The place where Mysore Pak invented... Crowded...a big que and it took almost half an hour to buy.... The right shop to buy boxes.. and left shop to buy for immediate consume.. i bought Ghee milk Mysore Pak and worth waiting..600/kg. Recommend to taste!!!

Guru Sweet Mart, the name itself seems to be very ordinary and very common but this place has Enormous & Trendsetting History in Karnataka and in Mysuru. Guru sweet Mart is one of those rarest and richest sweet shops of India which sells sweets everyday with a heavy crowd at all the time. The ancestors of the present generation Guru Sweet Mart was developed and prepare the most famous sweet of South India, The Mysore Pak. Bahan sisters of this Google sweet Mart made the Mysore pak as one of the main sweets in Mysore Royal family Foods. From then onwards the Mysore pak was developed and gained so much attention and craze among people and late on the craze of this Mysore pak went over boundaries. The sweet shop seems to be very small but the number of people who comes here to buy Mysore pak and just to taste it was very very huge in number. There are two sweet shops in the same row and both are owned by them. I was astonished by the traffic that was there just to buy Mysore pak and to taste it. Even though the rates of somewhat on the higher side, the taste of the Mysore pak is so much delicious than you expect. This Mysore pak is not like the ordinary Mysore pak we've been seeing from childhood. This Mysore pak is so much Fluid rather than solid. It is completely flooded with Pure Ghee & other necessary add ons also. Other than Mysore Pak, Guru Sweet Mart also sells most of the Indian sweets we are familiar to. So, if you're planning a Trip to Mysuru, just blindly go and taste the original Mysore pak from Guru Sweet Mart.
