Guntakal Junction railway station (station code: GTL) is located in Anantapur district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and serves Guntakal. It is also the headquarters of Guntakal railway division in South Central Railway. It is a junction station at the intersection point of the Mumbai-Chennai line, the Vijayawada-Marmagova line and the Guntakal-Bengaluru line.
One best thing about this railway station is "The resting home cost 24/Rs. Per hour". Love it. Facility of wifi, one mat to sleep, sofas, charging plugs, washrooms, toilet. I have never seen this type good facility in any Railway Station. I appriciated their service. I stayed for one night costs 150/.I must suggest everyone must use this, when your train is delayed or late. Thanking you.
It looks like an airport ,very clean and tidy. There is also a sanitary pad dispenser in 2nd class waiting hall.
One of the best stations in India! The food served here is really crazy! If your train is stopping here, then you must definitely try the tea and coffee stall on Platform No 1. I'm a huge fan of Kotha's coffee served on PF1!
Maintenance of platform is good. Station is clean and neat. Train timings and coach position announcement is also good. But the coach position on platform is not displayed and thus running here and there to get in to coach. More display board of platform is needed. Toilet maintenance is to be improved.
All normal facilities as expected from an Indian railway station. There is escalator in the station. Approx 7 platforms. Outer design of the station is like an airport.
