GreenView Homestay Gokarna - Resort hotel in Kumta - Uttara Kannada, India

I never recommend these fraud people. They take advance booking and when you turns come they will not attend your call and by mistake they pick up the phone they directly tell you old story and excuses and ask you to book some another resort just few days before. Don't get stuck on such property owners and save your hard money. Very disappointed

Homestay was good...neat and clean. The caretaker is available 24 hours at the place and he will help you with everything. The only problem here is there is no AC. It's a necessity during summers. Hope they will get to that soon.

What to say about this horrible place alias villa . We booked 2 days but could sleep even if single night . We checked in around 9 pm after a long journey and we a family of 6 ended up crying the whole night . The following are the reasons . 1. They cheated us saying that if booking is done through airbnb, it would be more pricey and somehow convinced us to directly book from them for a way higher price than what Airbnb was offering. 2. The moment we landed up in that so called villa ... the rooms were dirty including bedsheets with full of red ants , no all out (the refills were empty) , stinky rooms, stinky bathroom(not properly cleaned) , no geyser, no AC, no towels , no toilet tissues. 3. Within 1 hr of checking in , we called the owners / managers named Kiran and shiv asking them to reduce our stay to 1 day as we were not able to adjust in that stinky environment. But they denied and asked us to pay for both the days . We ended up in paying for 2 days but with literally stayed for 12 hrs there . They are fraud people . It is a request, never ever visit that property. 4. only good thing es the care taker and it was very near to beach and temp.

Wish I had option to give negative stars worst rooms no hot water and check in and check out timings is only 12 hrs as per them no one bothered to ask if we need water or something else

Single star is also a high rating for this pathetic place. We went for a holiday to relax but ended up stressing up so much. Bathrooms weren't clean, bedsheets weren't clean, infact toilet seat was broken, no drinking water, no proper house keeping, Finally the best part there were big line of red ants over the window which entered our bed. Soon after we had to vacate immediately. I booked for 3 nights and paid the entire amount but stayed only for a night and the owner didn't bother to pay back atleast 50% of the amount.

Awesome villa with kitchen access which is rare to find in Gokarna. Kitchen has refrigerator n gas stove. We had to take mixer. Owner is responsive and maid will be there at the property for cleaning. Great for larger groups. Tubs needs proper maintenance.

We actually booked this place for 3 nights and 4 days but we couldn't last 8 hours in that room. we were traveling with a baby and still considered leaving in the middle of the night to any place that'll take us. Besides being terribly uncomfortable, we also had to share the room with an entire colony of red ants circling the room, only inches away from the bed. My baby woke up with a rash on her face and that was it for me. We arrived late at night exhausted from a long drive and we were given a tiny room that looked like a college dorm. With mismatched bedsheets on three single beds. In that sweltering summer heat we had two fans that barely pushed the air around, and i had to push the beds together so my baby won't fall off. There was a young fellow who checked us in and said they'll get a cooler tomorrow. We had booked this place a week ago. They could have found a cooler in time before a guest got sauteed in the room. The bathroom fittings were probably designed by someone who's never used a bathroom before. The sink was like a plate with no space for a toothbrush. There was a tub but no stopper plug or hand shower. The toilet seat was not fixed, just placed there. There was not even a hook to hang a towel. The only reason we booked a homestay was for the kitchen to make baby food. But after that sleepless night we couldn't be bothered. The kitchen wasn't clean either. The "helper" just sat around watching videos and there was stale food sitting in the counter. What a horrible experience. We just packed quickly and left. It has a nice view from the window and would have been a decent place to stay if it was maintained properly, but the owner doesn't seem to care. My advice, be very very careful while booking a homestay and stick to Airbnb or legitimate websites. Don't trust any other platforms.
