Green Palace Residency - Resort hotel in Kolahalamedu - Idukki, India

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at what was supposed to be a resort, but felt more like a private home stay gone horribly wrong. This establishment cannot even be compared to a two-star hotel, let alone a respectable resort. From the bizarre behavior of the staff to their questionable guest handling methodology, every aspect of my stay was plagued with inconveniences. First and foremost, the wake-up call system was nothing short of absurd. Instead of utilizing a standard intercom or any modern communication method, the staff resorted to using big drums to rouse the guests from their slumber. Needless to say, this approach was not only unconventional but also incredibly disruptive. It left me wondering if I had accidentally stumbled into a time warp back to ancient times. The lack of professionalism and proper hospitality was evident throughout my stay. The staff members displayed peculiar behavior that was completely unbecoming of a hospitality establishment. Their interactions with guests were not only odd but also left much to be desired. It seemed as if they had no concept of how to handle guests' needs or provide a satisfactory level of service. Moreover, the amenities provided were subpar, to say the least. The room I was assigned to was poorly maintained and showed signs of neglect. It was evident that the management had not invested any effort in ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for their guests. The overall cleanliness left much to be desired, with dirty linens and a lack of attention to detail in terms of cleanliness standards. On top of all these inconveniences, the resort failed to live up to even the most basic expectations of a two-star hotel. The facilities were dated and worn out, and the overall ambiance was far from inviting. It seemed as though the establishment had been forgotten in time, with no updates or renovations in years. In conclusion, my experience at this supposed resort was a complete disaster. I strongly advise against staying here if you value your comfort and expect even a modicum of professionalism. The inconveniences I faced, from the archaic wake-up call system to the peculiar behavior of the staff, made my stay an unpleasant and regrettable one. Save yourself the trouble and seek accommodation elsewhere.

First of all this is Bengali managed property.. no professional hospitality staffs in this property... Are you paying or are you the refugee?? Arrogant behaviour from Customer service. The customer service made me really uncomfortable. Dirty rooms dirty and smelly blankets not even washed

Property looks good from outside. Looks beautiful after the lights are on. Room was pretty compact but needs improvement. The floor wasn't clean, bathroom doormat was very dirty. Very basic bedding. I was surprised seeing a bathtub in the bathroom for such a simple room. No way to reach reception or room service. Food was decent and was delivered to the room based on order. We'd asked for drinking water and also hot water for bathing and the guy who made note never turned up after that

Worst hotel one can experience in the amount which these people ask for, Too expensive zero service worst food worst bedrooms third class experience just looks good from outside don't fell into prey. Not recommend at all

Good area. Quality of service. Food charges correct. Very nice experience

Stayed with family in this Beautiful property .the ambiance and the property was amazing. But the management seems misers. There was no hot water facility, the pool and cottage was not cleaned properly and no complimentary brake fast. If rectified all these things, it will be an amazing experience .

Very Very Horrible experience. Not at all worth. We booked two 2BHK Cottage in Vagamon and the place was not clean, the size of the room was very small , No pad locks for bedroom, No view point available, Swimming pool was very small in size, It was very very dirty and was having small insects in the pool, Food was Ok but very costly. The management was very irresponsible and bathroom was smelly. Please do not perfect this place. Totally worthless. BETTER STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. MANAGEMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING HAPPENING THERE.

Basic things are not maintained, like No menu card for food, No phone for room service, freeze is not in the room, drinking water or RO tank is not present except kitchen, etc. Over priced. No network for any cellular provider and wifi range is not coming in the room.
