Green Mount Cottage - Cottage in Kalpetta - Wayanad, India

The rooms were good! Excellent hospitality by cottage manager. It's located near new Bus stand. Had a good stay here.

This is my favourite stay at Kalpeta, waynad. Martin cheta is so kind and their service at the best. Reasonable prices and home food are available too. Best place to stay and enjoy the wayanad.

We stayed with our 3 years old twin boys here in December 2016. Overall it was a nice experience to spend 2 days in green mount cottage-Waynad. Location is inside kalpetta town but away from all the noise of main road. We got ground floor room and was satisfactory clean. Breakfast is complimentary and it was excellent! Authentic Kerala cuisine-Idli,sambar and Chutany. We enjoyed Filter coffee too !! They don't provide Lunch/Dinner but there are few good hotels near homestay. Excellent Host! He treated us like his family and gave good guidance of tourist places in Waynad. We asked from where we can get Waynad to Mysore bus? He just told us don't worry and opt government bus ...I will drop you early in the morning to the bus stop and he did as promised!! Very Very Good host !!

Visited Green Mount Cottage during New Year's 2018 and quite approve of it. The landlord is very humble and nice, serving authentic local breakfasts for a truly Kerala experience. The place has a beautiful green compound overlooking a lot of greenery and is located right next to the Kalpetta bus stand. Keep in mind that the place is some distance away from Wayanad but offers for much economical residential options. You can always hire a vehicle, something the landlord offered to do for me. The rooms are pretty big and there are extra mattresses available, so don't overbook. Talking over phone before booking should work. The cleanliness of the room, though, left me a little wanting. The bedsheets and the blankets need to be cleaner. I think that's where the cottage can improve. There was some construction going on when I went, which meant it wasn't as peaceful as it should have been, but that should be one-off, so don't worry too much about it. Give it a try. I'll recommend it. Had a nice time.

It's awesome cottage, you can tell like home. I never saw such a large bathroom in cottages. Well maintained and very cleaned. Food is available based on the request. Food is yummy you can get Tamilnadu and Kerala style food. Just one minute walk from Kalpeta New bus stand, easy to reach the place. It's in the Center of the town. It has parking facility too

Green mount cottage is OYO HOME, situated in kalpetta. Location is very silent area but narrow road difficult for two cars same time. This OYO HOME stay maintained good and owner Mr. Martin very good person,great behaviour and helping mentality. Room is moderate spacious with 5x6 feet bed and also extra bed provided 3x6 , but extra bed have no cot, need to sleep down. Room have small dining table for 4 and 2 other chairs. Cleanliness is average ie,2/5 so I rated this home stay 3/5. Bathroom have fouls smell. No mixer in bathroom. Hot water was available in bathroom. Some things itching on bed very difficult to sleep. Dust are in room difficult for people with respiratory problems. No good view or other natural importance here.

The stay at the cottage was really pleasant. The moment you walk up the narrow driveway, the scenery changes immediately. You feel suddenly among the jungle. The rooms are clean, neat and well-maintained. The washrooms are spacious. And the ambience... If you happen to wake up a little early in the morning (I suggest you should), thick fog which streaks of golden sunlight will welcome you right at the balcony. In the evening, you can enjoy the bonfire. The food is really nice and is one of the major highlights of this resort. The host, Mr. Martin, is very welcoming and will personally look over your dining and breakfasts. Overall, very good. However, if you want to be amid the jungle and enjoy theb serene weekend, you probably give it a miss.
