Grassroots Wayanad, Valley-view Tents. - Resort hotel in Kalpetta - Wayanad, India

Me and my husband had an amazing stay at Grassroots, Wayanad. This stay is literally in nature's lap. The stay is basically luxury tents with amenities like AC, TV, well maintained washroom, good bed. The view is of Kabini River and tea estates. From the staff, we had Vineeth and Shiva. They were very welcoming and cooperative. Everything we asked for, was addressed (whatever was doable within their extent and available facilities). The food was very good. They had enough options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The breakfast had at least one local food item. We had puttu in breakfast one day and it was amazing. Vineeth also took us for a walk to the nearby tea estate. The property is around 10-11 years old but has been maintained really well. Highly recommending this place for a relaxed vacation.

First of all they should remove luxury tent from there listings because it's feels like 10 years old tent with no proper maintenance. And secondly their price for a night should be rs 1500 or max rs 2000 with dinner. Not 6000 rs which they usually charge. Trust me it's not worth of it. We paid around same and once we reach at property n didn't like it because it was old & not maintained at all. they were not ready to cancel our booking. We were two couples we reached at property around 5 in the evening and waited till 9 in the night no solution from the manager as she was out of station. Property manager has no clue how to handle customer & what are the rules. What a shame. Finally we spent 1 night there and left in the morning as we didn't want to ruined our holiday so we spent next 2 days in another hotel. Btw no refund from these scammers. There is reason they have kept different name of property on different booking portal. They are just cheating customers. So guy's don't pay in advance just go & see the property ones, rest you can decide yourself.

We had a great stay. The staff is very cooperative. Very luxurious tent rooms, smells good and very clean. Parking is a challenge. We will visit again if given a chance.

*Into the wild* Thoroughly enjoyed the stay! Surrounded by lush greenery, this cottage emanates a charming forest atmosphere. We were happy with the comforting meals served to us. The pre-selected dinner and breakfast options offered a wide range of dishes. Must say that Vineet and the caretakers are extremely polite and professional. They ensured that our experience was good. Moreover, they took us on a morning trek to a tea plantation. Now please note that it's not a hotel room but a well-maintained tent, so have your expectations accordingly.

Location: off Beat location amidst the coffee estate. Right next to Kabini River and inside a thicket. Very quite and serene location. Hear the birds chirping. Feel the nature. Nearby to Banasura Sagar dam plus pookode lake. So all western locations of wayanad is accessible from here. Service by Vineeth (manager) was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Food served was tasty. Response was timely. He took us for a nature walk which was educative and entertaining. Room: only small issue with hot water supply (could be temporary one). Inside room, all facilities were provided. We even had a visit by a grasshopper and snail which is expected. I would really recommend this place.

If you're doing a road trip, and your focus is on finding a good place to stay and relax and enjoy nature, this is a great option for you. Good view, good seating areas, clean rooms, good food, good wifi, AC, and covered parking are all there.

Me and my wife had an amazing stay at grassroots. The staffs were amazing and so welcoming and food was amazing too. Vineeth guided us throughout the stay. The cleanliness was exceptional. Will definitely recommend to those who are looking for a relaxed vacation.

It was not properly mentioned that older people can't stay in the hotel when I pinged them and also not on any booking websites. But when I reach the site they said me we mentioned to you about the property in other websites and I asked the employee there to take me to the room also found bugs in the tent which he showed. Also to request to owner please update the information accoringly in hotel booking websites, so that people like me won't loose their money
