I just loved the place and service was so good and nice... I tired there famous Akki roti and natti Koli Masala it was so nice combination must try Mutton biriyani one person can have properly it was dam tasty
Good quality food, mid cost . We tried akki roti with malanadu chicken , it's mild on spice. 9 akku roti, 2 malnadu chicken, ghee rice, white rice, 3 cups curd costed 920 rupees for 4 people.

If you are in Chikmagalur and like biryani, then Grand Maharaja is the best choice. Great food and efficient service. A very busy place during lunch hours. So, no leisurely lunch with chit-chat. The table layout doesn't give you much room, but once served, nothing matters! The pricing is reasonable. Located on a busy road, it's very visible. Parking could be a hassle. Definitely worth a visit.
Located on main road to KSRTC bus stand,It specializes in Non-Veg food. If you are a non veg foodie, do visit this place for good non veg. However do not expect ambience or hygine or good lighting. Place looks little shady. My 4 stars are only for the food. Food ordered:Malnad chicken(local cuisine) ,Ghee Roast Chicken and Jeera Rice. Cost : Rs. 600/- Meal for 2. Hope this helps.
Had Mutton Masala with Ceylon Parotha Combination. Mutton was soft and the thick curry went well with Parothas .
Lodge people might suggest you this place for good food but it's very expensive as you might see the quantity is very less for price of Rs250. Didn't try other food though. I recommend this place for naati dishes
