This place is a must visit place in overall wayanad. This was my first time experiencing gramaphone music, the music coming from this is so magical and live feeling. This man Mohd Shafi dedicated his life for his love for music. Hatsoff to his work, for sharing his knowledge to everyone. Do visit this place if you are here, you won't regret the experience. He also does the gramaphone repairing works and rooms are also available for stay in this building. Parking space is also available. Contact him, from number in the board regarding enquiries for when museum is open,regarding stay or repairing related.
When you can not use a time machine to go back to classic vintage music era, remember you have this place to feel how they played and enjoyed music in its original and natural way. Mr. Shafi who dedicated his life with unrelenting passion is there to take you to bygone musical era. What a sight for gramophone and LP , vinyl enthusiasts. Every item kept on this display will draw your attention and can spend hours together studying about it. You can surf through his collection of rare and classic Vinyls , Shellac discs and play all of them. You can even buy them.There original speeches of Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji and Nehru's in Disc available. He is very hospitable and shares his knowledge happily with people. Great place ! I assure you that you will fall short of time if you want to learn and experience all this place has. Don't forget the sight of beautiful mountains from the terrace.
