Doctors are doing their best job here but nurses in the labour room do not pay proper attention to the patients. Many times patients deliver their baby before reaching to the delivery room. Moreover, Security staff, Cleaning Staff as well as nurses in the delivery room are very selfish. They always forced you to pay them when you take your patient to shift her to ward. This is ridicluious. Administration should take steps against it. I gave to 5 stars to doctor and 1 star to these greedy people.
It's one of the oldest hospital in our beloved state. Sri Maharaja Gulab Singh ( SMGS) Hospital SMGS (Sri Maharaja Gulab Singh) Hospital was inaugurated by his highness Maharaja Hari* Singh on 6th May-1940, as to provide proper & better health care to the people of Jammu. Maharaja build two hospital's one in Jammu at the cost of Rupees Eight lakh and one in Srinagar at the cost of Rupees Thirty five lakh. Then both hospitals were called Sadar Hospitals. SMHS (Sri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital) was inaugurated by Viceroy of India Lord Vewel.. Medical Officers were appointed from out side the state. With the opening of Govt. Medical College, Jammu this hospital was attached with GMC for teaching purpose. ______________________________________________ Cons: no proper discipline here in terms of maintaining the queue. This is I'm writing after my last visit to the this hospital in childern (paediatrics) ward (emergency). I know others are too waiting in the line and wanted to get proper attention by the available doctors but there is no such proper check up. It was like just doing the job without any proper dedication. Also, cleanliness is zero here (i saw the patient spitting here n there and you also can see gutkha stains on the wall. Oxygen pipes which are running through the walls are like not maintained properly. ______________________________________________ Pros: birth place for new borns.
Cleanliness 4/5 , waiting time high due to over crowded place . Blood bank available , peadraticin ward and emergency available , gyne opd heavy rish on Monday avoid. It. Unless emergency. Skin and ENT opd and OT available , Labour room Highly crowded. Ayushman card available for general public. Well experienced doctors with high experience in surgery and high risk cases. RTPCR test available along with RaT. ,gate pass required to enter.
Few doctors are really good and understand the wellbeing of patients. But few are very rude. Hospital needs more beds for kids . One bed is being shared with three kids at a time. Chances of infection are more than cure.. Request hospital authority to look into the matter.. please.
The facilities are very good compared to other government hospital, but the staff here from medical staff to sweeper begs for money when you have a baby. If you neglect that the doctors are very best here, helpful and good in nature.
E.N.T. I didn't like it at all, I will get the total after one hour, after that the child will be cut, after that the doctor will bring on the line, till then what will happen to the patient?
A good hospital . Different departments on different building. Some department have a lot of crowd. New person to this place doesn't easily understand this hospital. SMGS (Sri Maharaja Gulab Singh) Hospital was inaugurated by his highness Maharaja Hari Singh on 6th May-1940, as to provide proper & better health care to the people of Jammu. Maharaja build two hospital's one in Jammu at the cost of Rupees Eight lakh and one in Srinagar at the cost of Rupees Thirty five lakh. Then both hospitals were called Sadar Hospitals. Medical College, Jammu this hospital was attached with GMC for teaching purpose. (Tareekh Dogra Desh - J&K by Narsingh Dass Nargis) SMGS Hospital has bed strength of 550 beds and the following departments are housed there: o Obst. & Gynaecology, o Paediatrics, o ENT o Dermatology. SMGS Hospital has been upgraded with more beds. Neo-natal ICU and facilities for Microscopic Surgery and Phototherapy unit has been created. In SMGS Hospital on an average 533 patients per day attend the various OPD's, 86 patients per day are admitted, 50 major/minor operations are performed per day, about 10 ECGs, 65 ultrasounds/X-Rays per day and about 600 tests (pathology/bio/micro) are conducted in various labs. .
The laboratory stuffs are not serious with time and rude as well and don't know whether the test are done actually..all the stuffs of gynae department are there begger, asking for money..the doctors are fair good
