It's a beautiful place most likely to be visited at evening,the lake adds to its beauty. Could have been more beautiful if proper maintenance was done, but overall it's a good place to visit. Shared cabs are not a big problem here, one can easily reach govindgarh from Rewa through the bus and taxi service, but having own hired vehicle will definitely save a lot of time.

Govindgarh the summer capital of Mahraja Rewa, is about 18 km from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The Rewa, with an area of about 13,000 mi2, was the largest princely state in the Bagelkhand Agency and the second largest in Central India Agency. The British political agent for Bagelkhand resided at Satna, on the East Indian railway. The Bagelkhand Agency was dissolved in 1933 and Rewa was placed under the authority of the Indore Residency.
Ambience is awesome.a very good family destination. Food was delicious and they way order was handled was also good. Must go place specially during winters as lake view is very good.

It's nice place preserving modern history. This is good place for short trip. More maintenance and care is required.
