Government Youth Hostel - Youth Hostel in Puri - Puri, India

This is a nice place to stay with beautiful surroundings. As we had no previous booking so there was no option It is maintained by Orissa government. There are big premises.where 3 buildings The rooms are big and airy. It is situated near blue flag beach & near OTDC Panthanibas. It is not near the Swargadwar. In front of hotel the auto rickshaw is available always .The auto fair is Rs 100 to Rs 125 up to swargadar from here. The location is peaceful, calm & quite. The room with AC is cost Rs 1000 & without AC is RS 600.The parking place is spacious here.The kitchen is neat and clean. As ordered the staffs prepare the menu but the taste is not so sure. It is well-maintained building. But here previous booking system is not available. No online payment system. After reaching here the booking get confirmed & could paid. But one thing the room service is not so fast & prompt. Water is to be filled up in bottle from 1st floor & freeze is there. The stuffs are cooperative over all. Sea beach is near from it. From balcony sea view is there. Thank you Orissa government.

Very nice rooms and very clean bathroom and toilet and very very affordable price and it's in good location also. Here only you can get tour plans and guide and also advance booking. You have to cheack out at 8in the morning.

This is a old govt. youth hostel at puri , previously managed by yhai ,india and then by dept. of tourism ,govt. of odisha and now by nehru yuva kendra . Double bed rooms ac and non ac are available along with separate dormitory for boys and girls . This place has ample parking space and looks nice with its proximity to sea beaches e.g. niladri and chakra teerth. There also is a canteen operating here which serves breakfast,lunch and dinner both veg. and non veg ,but one has to order in advance . Staffs are cooperative but don't expect hotel like facility here because this is a hostel !

According to price the room was okay. It ll cost you only 100 per bed Non A/C. The rooms are pretty old type but there is some sea facing rooms which makes it great and they provide bed, pillow along with cover and a mattress and a bedsheet along with mosquito net according to price it was great..

Anice quiet place near the sea. The beach is visible without any obstructions. But to get to the beach, you have to take a round about route. The food is OK but sanitation condition needs improvement.

Good and helpful staff... but rating 4 because of the unclean toilets. Nothing else to complain. Nowhere in puri will you get a dormitory bed for Rs.100 per night. Very convenient and accessible to sea beach and close to railway station

I have not stayed here. However the location and food is fantastic. We had a family get together in 2021 Jan. The place is not maintained very well. But I think for a get together kind of occasion its good. Its spacious, good garden, its also very cost effective. You can see the beach from the location but then there is no way you can get into the beach from the property.
