Government Hospital of Thoracic Medicine, Chennai - General hospital in Chennai - Chengalpattu, India

I always think, why people hate govt hospitals eventhough government provide lots of facilities. Here I have experienced why. That's not because of facilities, Most people hate because of the govt servent's behaviour and insults. They did not treat people like human. Here, Doctors also sees people as a cursed one. Always speak roughly to the people, maintain a distance from OP patients also. I can understand they also get frustrated by people. But, They are doctors, they aware of the peoples mentality better than anyone. If they are precautions from the disease. Provide mask to the patient as well.. Since the TB related disease can spread easily, they must provide mask to the people. They can get min charge if needed. The main government servent who really treat us like a dog, donkey in the hospital is nurses, helpers, watchman and lab technicians also. They got irritated by some patients and irritate back to all.. There is a x-ray (505) room inside the hospital. Today(12.2.2019) morning 10am patients went there to take x-ray. There is no one inside the room.. more patients keep coming there for x-ray. Suddenly they came and scolding everybody.. one of the patient said, Saturday also they did like that, patient came at 10am but the respective staffs came by 2pm. If the private hospital can manage those many people in a calm way why don't government hospitals can't? Is it money? People need quality medical facilities and Government providing it. But, it is not reached properly.. Where we have to change?

Tambaram Government hospital infrastructure and clean and maintenance are really good but the staff are really very bad they are all have too much of attitude they think they are the God for whole hospital they don't give any value for other patients and there feelings they treat like patients mostly like slave only I had two experience in this hospital. Atmosphere and other hygiene everything is good other then staff's. Even security guards is good compare to medical staff.

Many of us suggested to visit this hospital as they give good treatment for TB. Very few OP staffs are supportive. They treat patients as slave as if they give money from their pocket. Even educated staffs are behaving very rudely. They don't give respect to patients. Doctor doesn't even talk , really very pathetic to see such doctors. Govt should really visit and improvise so that these kind of attitudes and behaviours will change. In counter 300 there is a female who has high level of attitude. Overall it's a wrost experience.

Easy access to this hospital. Not sure about the treatment over there because never been there.

I am giving 1 star because of staff behaviour with public very worst. Nurses behaving as they are the real doctor and gods to the patient, today i met with an incident one who stands in altra sound scan lab room no. 501 literally shout on me like a dog.. and closed the door on my face and started shouting..l am not from the Tamilanadu state so i don't know the Tamil fluently but here non other than the doctors don't know any other languages for outers they are not responding properly and telling the timings also..What is the use of serving the people by providing free treatment and behaving like this.. dissatisfied with the staff.

Best Hospital in Chennai having good staff to test and treatment. It is available in a large area with greeneries.
