Doctor's are very good. And staff's are very helpful & supportive. Place is neat and clean. Dear Tourists, Kindly avoid any private clinic and visit CHC Canacona for any kind of health issues facing at Palolem or Agonda side. You will get proper treatment and take care their. They are providing free medicine and treatment. Thanks to Goa Govt

Would have given 0 star if that option was available. No doubt it is very well maintained and much better than how a Govt run hospital is perceived usually, however all the good work goes in drain due to such rude and highly arrogant staff there who have zilth manners in talking to patients and their families. Just visited this evening for a regular dressing of my child. We were asked to wait. On checking in after it was quite some time of wait, the lady doctor or staff there in charge (not really sure what was her role), first thing she responded with - kaha bithau aapke bachce ko, apne sar pe?" Then that followed with many such extremely rude and personal remarks from her side. Along with their medical knowledge and know how, they must be trained on basic etiquettes and communication skills. Everybody comes to a hospital with a pain only, just addressing the patients politely and transparently doesn't take away anything from the staff. If this review is being read by the authorities, please introspect and consider mental wellness and etiquette/mannerisms of your front line staff.

OBG department seems to be worst.. doctor comes only monday and friday.. staffs who takes the patients report and sends to doctor doesn't know how to manage and send them on first come first serves basis.. some random reports they will send to doctor... if you are lucky enough you will get out of hospital early.. if not whether you came morning 9:00 doesn't matter.. sit there till 1:00 O'clock.. also if you are somehow related or know the staff then you don't have to sit even for a min. And after wasting whole day doctor doesn't have any experience nor manners of talking to patients.. ever heard of going to a doctor and bringing home the pain you never had?? She pressed my pregnancy belly so hard it started paining. Never going there again.

After my initial entry and no welcoming reception I had a look round the place.. no frills basic hospital care in local surroundings.. was glad I didn't have to travel far.. I was directed to casualty and staff were pretty efficient!

It is a nice facility and my experience was pretty good. I had a dog bite and hence rushed to the hospital in the afternoon. I was given immediate treatment by giving appropriate injections and proper treatment. The doctor and the nurses were very friendly and provided proper assistance. Thank you Govt Hospital Canacona.

If you are going to the Emergency ward, avoid going to Nurse Baby (that's her name). She will bite your head off about "admin procedures", talk very rudely to patients, even throw out the accompanying person, even when there is only one other patient. Bring it up with the Doctor on call of she does this to you. Came here for follow up injections. The other staff and nurses are VERY polite and helpful.

The one star is for the casuality doctor who is kind of doing all things here. The attending staff at OP is security personnel. They act as if this is a refugee camp in the middle of a war. They were rude and irresponsible and made us shuttle between op and casuality. The nurses in the casuality seems to be very young girls and they seem to be under training. Everyone except the casuality doctor were extremely rude and impolite. We came in with 101 fever and after an hour and a half it was still 101. Extremely bad experience. Avoid if possible. They gave couple of injections once we got into the casuality and then when the fever was not subsiding, they gave us another anti-biotic. The nurses should at least show the courtsey to let us know what medicines are being administered which they don't do. They told us to ask the doctor again to get info. Also things like sponging and temperature checking were done by us instead of the nurses. We were at the hospital on 25th June at around 12pm. The most annoying were the security/attending personnel in the general medicine opd and casuality. We just wanted to get out from there and they asked us to sign a regular to admit on the prescription itself.

The care that was provided to me was first-class and the medical attention thart I received was exemplorary throughout my visits. What could have been a very unpleasant situation was no problem at all thanks to the care and attention offered. Thank you.
